Your right he didn't quit in the ring. He just fell apart outside the ring. He didn't have the desire or discipline to be in top condition. In beating Holyfield and winning the title he proved alot of people wrong. Once he did that he was satisfied.
He didn't want any parts of the top contender. If Lennox Lewis intimidated Bowe Foreman certainly would.
His mental breakdown was pretty severe.

This would be a great fight. The window of opportunity for Bowe is a small one meaning he was elite for Hollyfield 1 fight. The Bowe that fought Golota gets lit up by George. Bowe gets a little underated because he was top level for a short period of time but he was great on the inside and had more skill than big George.

I'm saying prime Bowe beats George. It would be a messy fight otherwise literally a coin toss who would win it would be a good scrap though.

He was strong dude with power and was a big lump in his comeback but Holyfield and Morrison showed the blueprint for beating him just by being mobile.

I argee and that George was way better skilled then his young days

    he wasted less energy
    he picked shots
    he was way tougher
    he had real defense
this is the best George old ver

the young one I feel would be ko by tommy I know he would when he was hurt by ron who stood toe to toe and hurt George bad from the 1st round and after that in each round

tom moved better and hit harder then ron another thing people leave out is tom threw wide punches in the style of mike and would double up on combos like mike

But the same could be said for foreman’s prime too. He beat very few good fighters to get a title shot then after losing to Ali he never recovered again until many years later in his comeback.

Not really. He was if anything overconfident agaisnt Ali. When Foreman won the title he accepted Ken Norton's top rated challenge then ofcourse Ali. He didnt avoid anyone.
What did Bowe in his do? He Jesse Ferguson and Michael Dokes after reneging on an agreement to fight Lennox Lewis.
Just sayin Bowe was a talented, maybe once in a liftime type of prospect. For awhile he looked like he might fulfill that potential. There was alot of mental issues that showed up prertty quick, or they had beej there all along, he fell of a cliff.
