He didn't want to keep fighting wilder.
He got robbed in the first fight, if he had won probably wouldn't have had a rematch.
He murdered him in the second fight
And the third fight was because he got sued.

Fury is sick of brain damaging wilder

Ah that was embroyo fury (30% of full power fury)
He also wasn't that dedicated and was drinking then, I'd say 20% fury for that fight

    This is ten percent luck
    Twenty percent skill
Fifteen percent concentrated power of will
    Five percent pleasure
    Fifty percent pain
And a hundred percent reason to remember the name (Tyson Fury)

Yeah I read about this a while ago, apparently it hurt Fury whenever he threw a jab which is why he barely threw the jab in the 3rd fight which was so key in controlling Wilder in the 2nd fight. In Fury/Wilder 2, Fury threw 107 jabs in 6 and a bit rounds while in the 3rd fight Fury threw only 102 jabs over 10 and a bit rounds.

Hard to say how bad Fury was in the 3rd fight but he was clearly compromised in the 3rd fight which is probably the only reason why Wilder had any success. A fully fit Fury would have likely dominated again like in the 2nd fight.

I almost had an aneurism watching him basically walk head first into Wilder not behind his jab. It made no sense as to why he had ditched it.

Fury respects his power up to the point when it lands and Tyson becomes Fury. Once Fury has been hurt it galvanises his mental state and he turns into quenched steel. He no longer cares about getting hit or your power he is coming for you. It's war time and no man born from their mother can beat Fury in a war.

Highlighted in round 10 when Wilder buzzed him and Fury asked for more walking into him.

Fury is a freak in this regard, if you hit him hard enough he goes full beast mode and beats the day lights out of you.
