Not sure what you mean bro. It matters in so far as being a interesting discussion point re another ATG, for which we don’t always have solid proofs, the point being highlighted here that we can’t always take everything Foreman said as literally true due to his being overly accomodating at times.
I do. There was nothing in his career up to that point, to suggest that eh was in Frazier's class. He was literally taking two steps up in opposition, perhaps even three!
no I mean people always say some words that they read online as proof of something words can be wrote by a person who flips the truth around or bias or maybe something never happened why do people do that I never believe anything I read online i go off of vid proof only we have no proof of them every practicing we have no proof of sonny being in a gang we have no proof of George fighting so called 5 dudes all of these quotes are myth's nobody has any vid proof of to confirm any of it is truth
But we do have video proof of Foreman fighting 5 dudes in Toronto (if that’s what you’re referring to). If you take a away all the stuff that can’t be emphatically proven you’re removing a hell of a lot material for discussion.
Sure, Smoking Joe was a step up and I can’t say for sure how George felt and nerves can sometimes be well hidden. Just personally, I don’t buy it. If he was deluded or not, I see Foreman seeing himself as a destructor by that stage, numerous KOs behind him, quality notwithstanding but the early scalp of Chuvalo wasn’t too shabby.
well I know Im taking away alot of stuff to talk on cause im a realist and person who likes to have proof only I know we dont have proof of every boxing match on vid but we know its fact cause its records they keep the stuff that I said could be like i said word of mouth I find the George sonny thing odd it's a man they said wasnt even grown George that's took as if George was grown I really cant take that serious when it was practice and not a full grown George professional real fight from video of the grown George matches I know he would destroy son
Would have been an interesting fight. A hard fight to pick even at that time since Larry was still faster than George, yet George had that power.. It would have been Larry's jab and right against George's jab and left hook. I would have to go with George by UD
He 100% ducked Tucker considering that he dropped his belt for him and openly stated that he wanted no part of him.
I see no world in which old George wins a decision against old Larry. Either old George wins via knockout, or old Larry wins via decision. Old Larry was much more mobile than old George, much quicker than old George, still had that great jab and 1-2 (two great tools for scoring points). My bet is on Larry, but that one could easily go either way. If George manages to hurt Larry bad at the beginning of a round, Larry might not be able to recover in time to avoid George finishing it.
Foreman fought 5 guys in Toronto Canada in April 1975...I saw it on TV with Howard Cosell at ringside!!! The press was all over Foreman after this charade!!!
