Galahad appeared rattled by an overhand right at the start of the fifth and seemed a little shaky and immediately clinched for a few seconds after that. So, the fact that Galahad got bowled over by an admittedly terrific and flush right hand later on in the round didn't seem like that big of a shock. The warning had already been sent. So, his resistance was in question, but the fact that he seemed completely out of it and was unable to react to the next right hand that Martinez lobbed is an indication that his punch recovery leaves much to be desired. When a fighter fails both of these tests so dramatically, then the term "glass jaw" can certainly be used.

Yep, the circumstances that added up to it all do point to "not ready for primetime" shock absorption on his part. If anyone reasonably heavy-handed gives him a healthy tap on the chin, nose, temple, nape of the neck, pretty much anywhere from now on, it'll be a "get the popcorn, let's watch & see!" moment. Chin-checkers often fail to consider everything in context, but here doing so does return the same verdict as their customary snap assessments.

Although in fairness to Herol, the person who chinned him -- Julian Jackson -- punched with all the ferocity of a mule kicking. Jackson could do that to any opponent on any given day.
