Munguia has expressed interest in fighting Derevyanchenko next. Derev has been in wars with Jacobs, GGG, and Charlo, does he have enough left in the tank to defeat the highly durable ever improving Mungia? How do you see this fight playing out?

Not sure. He's been through some high level competition and some heavy war. If he's bounced back I'd favour him; I don't think Munguia has seen anybody with his close fighting ability and footwork. On the other hand if he has not shed the miles SD could be in for a rough night with Munguia's pace and workrate.

Derevyanchenko is stylistically all wrong for Munguia. The way to beat him is, get in close, push him back, don't give him any room, smother his punches, take away his body work, tie him up when needed, outmuscle and outhustle him. All kind of Derevyanchenko specialties. If he did it to Jacobs and big punchers like Charlo and GGG, he can damn well do it to Munguia. De La Hoya should swerve this match like the plague as well, clearly they want a GGG match, with Sergiy, there's a high probability that it'll be brutally derailed.

Someone told me that Golden Boy's people turned down an eliminator against Derevyanchenko to fight Rosado.

If Derevyanchenko gets past Adames, I would like to see this fight. Munguia's record is virtually devoid of any contenders and he has struggled consistently with lesser men. Munguia has improved but he's still ripe for an upset, which is probably why they might try and cash him out against Golovkin.

This fight would be a fight of the year candidate for sure. It would go the distance in my opinion as well. Both Derevyanchenko and Munguia are in nothing but all action fights. I just hope it isn't a ppv fight. This fight to me is a 50/50 fight, a dog fight, If it's close and goes to decision, then we have to look at who's promoting who,and Delahoya is Munguia's promoter, so Munguia would likely win a close one.

Munguia just has to finish the fight on his feet, and I think he'll manage to do that.

Munguia is far worse than his hype would suggest. Getting in a brutal war with Rosado is not a good look for anyone trying to climb to the top. Derev would be a big step up for him at this point. Would favor Derev to win, but Munguia get a decision.

This is a fight I would really love to see since both guys are always ready to throw nonstop punches. Has the making of a FOTY candidate.
But at the same time I also would not want to see Derevyenchenko possibly lose again. :(

he is the perfect “Gatekeeper” before GGG
If Munguía can’t secure a fight with one of the other belt holders … Boo-Boo or Charlo.

Yeah, Derevyanchenko is a top notch fighter who would have a great record if he was fighting b anc c level guys, but he is fighting the elite, and he is the elite himself. I would like to see him get a title because he is a champion.

It wasn't that bad, Munguía dished out a lot more punishment than Rosado managed to. It was quite one sided at times and we all know Munguía has a very good chin.

Would be another step up for Munguia. Derevyancheko has only lost to the top guys at 160. Win this and he should be in line for the GGG and Murata winner or Charlo.

Derevyanchenko strength of schedule in his first 20 fights would be ridiculous if he took this fight

Munguia's "improvement" can't save him. Derevyanchenko arguably beat GGG. Derev by UD.

Can't see why that fight would happen.Only if Mungia is a champion and Derevyanchenko is mandatory. That's not the case.
