Martin is making 36 in april, so he is olx as well, as well as inactive. I would favor Ortiz in this one by a KO, but anything can happen. Lets see first in what shape they will show.

    Very sad.

To be fair though, it feels like there's a lot of inertia on the top 10 lists. I was hoping after the Fury Wilder undercard or whatever it is Tony Yoka's been up to the list makers would be ready for a new name.

If Ortiz is still top 10 maybe Wlad should be too. Can you name 10 guys who you're sure would beat Wlad today? He beat Bryant Jennings!

Good fight. I'm going with Ortiz by hellacious KO.

    I’m from fat St. Louis

A local Heavy weight starting to get back into the mix would be great. (The Spinks brothers are also from St. Louis)

but I don’t see Martin beating Ortiz on Ortiz’s worst day

no matter how old he may or may not be

(Although I think he’s not nearly as old as many claim he is)

They are now putting together the under card. They are hoping to have two under card bouts. The old grumpy gent in room 123 that recently left rehab and has been taken off the "fall risk" category, against the dementia patient in room 223 that barely needs assistance with a walker. then there is the old fella in 448 that has to wear extra depends after all his meals versus the one from room 228 that sits in the day room watching tv and drooling excessively. hell of a card.

Loser retires, or at very least has nowhere left to go type of fight.

Winner might be able to wrangle a title shot still, or at least cash out against a name.

Although the talent level at heavyweight is low outside the top few guys it is always fun to see these big boys fight each other it is better than seeing either guy against some unknown journeyman or club fighter.

I would say that it's good in the context of keeping active against and actually viable opponent. Rather than a stay busy fight vs a cab driver.

I have always thought Martin was a little better then has shown. And Ortiz is somewhere between 55 and 65 years old.

I'll say Martin stops Wilder's legacy.

You see, I don't think this is the case at all. I think the problem is that the promotors keep pushing them same crappy retread fighters. Once we get Whyte, Ruiz, Parker, Ortiz, Martin, Helenius, Chisora out of the way for good, maybe we can get some good fights with Gassiev, Wallin, Sanchez, Sirenko, Hrgovic, Anderson, Jalaov, Mahkmudov...
