Does Anthony Joshua give Oleksandr Usyk a third fight?

If Joshua wins the rematch he'll fight in the U.S again against someone like Trevor Bryan or Manual Charr then set up a big heavyweight showdown with Deontay Wilder. If he beats Wilder then we may get Fury v Joshua if Fury doesn't retire or get beat before.

Immediately, no definitely not as he'd want to face Fury next to finally unify. But later on down the line he'd probably make a 3rd fight the demand for it would be huge as would the paycheck for a decider.

 

Depends on how Joshua wins. If it's a points robbery and he gets a gift decision then no chance. If he can be convincing then maybe further down the line. The reality for all of them is whoever has ambition to unify needs to get on it as they are all in there 30's and we cannot anticipate future banana skins. Time is ticking for this generation to prove who the daddy is.

Winning the rematch would be perfect for AJ. To be honest, I had AJ winning 4 rounds (being very generous 5) against Usyk so its a fair possibility he wins the rematch especially as Usyk isn't getting any younger. I don't think AJ did that terribly tbh. He did good but Usyk is just one skilled mf. If AJ can think of a gameplan in which he is able to tee off at Usyks body I reckon he'll get a late tko in the rematch. But I wouldn't be surprised if Usyk wins 8-4 again. AJ just needs to hit anything he can on Usyk be it arms, elbows, hips, that would eventually pay off. Usyk is clearly more skilled but with the size advantage and being relatively skilled, you can't just write AJ off.

I think AJ would then fight for undisputed after and if wins he'd eventually fight Usyk who would be even more aged and AJ would stand even a better chance at a tko.

If he wins next stop is undisputed, but if Usyk continues to look good then I definitely see a rubber.

Someone mentioned Ruiz, but either that was just trolling or willful stupidity since Joshua has been busy with mandatories and looking to secure the fight for undisputed, and even if he wasn't Ruiz so far has done nothing to warrant a rubber. He looked out of shape and was easily outpointed in the rematch and has done jack since. If he puts together some good wins next year it might pop up on the agenda, but so far there's been actually nothing speaking for it.

 

In the extremely slim chance that Joshua wins the rematch, no way he would give Usyk a trilogy fight. He would take the belts and run far, far away

 

Joshua has to win once, opponents have to win twice (and win so conclusively that they don't get robbed). Thems the rules. Joshua is the fighter with Supreme privilege, and will be until he retires.
