An outrageous decision, made Holmes-Spinks 2 look almost fair.

I could tell Foreman was quite amused himself during the post-fight interview. He knew he'd won but good for him, he wanted to go out with class.

I don't think that I've ever seen anyone argue Escalera's case in Escalera vs. Everett.

Did he ever (go out with class). You can talk the talk but if anything could peel back any measure of false cheery veneer, it might’ve been that decision but George Mark II proved that he was for real. Legend.

No worries bro. I know what it’s like trying to track down something you’ve read previously. So many threads/posts it can be nigh impossible.

That is low for a controversial fight.

I reference one earlier in the thread in the ninties.

I didn't either, I could see a 10-5 scorecard for Norton. I believe a poll on that fight would be at least 80% for Norton winning. I was an Ali fan at the time and watching the fight with 4 other boxing fans nobody thought Ali won.

Maybe it would be something like that. Many here think it was a close fight, though.

Being a huge Gomez fan I was biased and yet I couldn't see how Gomez won that one. Objectivity is difficult when you really like one of the fighters involved.

I don’t think you can find a 10-second segment of Roy Jones Jr’s fight in the Olympic finals that he lost, but that’s amateur.

When everyone thinks the decision is so bad that they award the Val Barker Trophy (outstanding boxer in the Olympics) to the silver medalist, I think that says it all.

79% controversy rating is not low, it & less controversial fights are listed on the website as "Top controversial fights".
But your Sturm-DLH is not too far from the very highest possible at 93%.
It is like saying someone who is 6'6" or so is not tall, because you can show someone around 7' 7".

I guess in this analogy the tallest man ever recorded Robert Wadlow would be the equivalent of a 100% controversy rating at 8'11.1".

According to Eye on the Ring, Gomez-Lockridge is the Robert Wadlow of controversial decisions.

I'd never watched the Jones-Park Si Hun match until today. Yep, that's the worst decision I've ever seen, pro or amateur.
