Who knows. Dempsey knocked out Jess Willard in 3 rounds.

I try to give Canelo the benefit of the doubt but man this will not help the PED accusations if he ends up looking like a bodybuilder at CW, which he would almost have to with his 5'8" frame.

We’ll see what the final details are. Until then I’m skeptical. We heard Kovalev would NOT have a rehydration clause only to find out days before the fight that in fact there was a clause.

Roy didn't cheat and win robberies in fights that he didn't deserve to win, he just got caught doing PED'S. Theres a difference.

That’s fine. I criticized them when they did stuff like that too. I barely recognize pacs 154 title, scratch that, I don’t. Fought a shot to smithereens Marg for a vacant belt, then bounced the hell out of the division. Sound familiar?

So, Canelo dodged a prime GGG because he wasn't a natural middleweight
Lets the fight 'marinade' and then arguably loses fight against a fading GGG
He rematches GGG but gets popped dirty for clenbuterol (worth noting, within the range of a masking solution)
Arguably loses to GGG again but refuses a rematch against the toughest opponent of his career
Climbs the weight classes and adds mass along the way, but magically his stamina improves tenfold. Weird, huh.
Moves up to challenge for a 'cruiserweight title' at the 190lb limit
Against a guy whose only key fight is losing to Bellew by knockout
Next up, Charles Martin for a Heavyweight belt (not a real belt, a special one that the WBC will make for Canelo)...

    Gotcha.

You can't deny the skills of ribeye, he is a phenomenal fighter. But this ****ery has to stop.
I'd much rather see him fight the best in his best weight class.

That's a way of ducking the real competition. He knows who he should be fighting, but he knows that he will get all kinds of praise from todays fans that think weight hopping means greatness. Why not fight someone way less talented at a high weight, if it makes you reach god like status.Lets see, Andrade, Charlo, GGG, Benevediz ,Bivol & Beterbiev. If he goes up and then says he can't make 168lbs anymore, then the GGG fight is out.

because all those whos opinions matter, and who shape the historical record, understand that if you dont have what it takes to be the absolute best, peds aint gonna get you there. roy was a genuine freak with or without peds. canelo is a technical machine and strategist. he picks the right tools for the job, from his overflowing toolbox, and uses them till they work...like he expected them to. he trusts his game and the process. thats why he doesnt gas anymore. hes eliminated the nerves and the confusion involved in an unplanned,or unprepared for fight. people underestimate the amount of energy the body expends emotionally through nervous energy. thats why people feel tired and sleepy after they cry. there are other things hes done to overcome the stamina issue, but that one gets overlooked.
when you have an idea about what he should do when faced with a particular problem, you start to understand how good he really is. that goes for any fighter. for example, this is what i expected in his last 2 fights.
a perfectly timed(and drilled) uppercut pretty much ended bjs career.

if you watch the fight, notice how many times you hear "chopping right hand", which is what i meant by overhand right. and the left hook is what brought the end. both predictable punches a good gameplan would include when facing plant, and you got canelo in your corner. all because of how plant defends. these are your high percentage plays.
you cant just pump a fighter full of peds, send him out to do what canelo does, and think hes gonna get it done.

I don't get this move at this time. He is going to have a hell of a time going back down to 168 or even 175 after bulking up to 200. Ilunga Makabu is a pretty tough and physical fighter so this is actually a pretty intriguing fight because he is certainly going to bring the fight to Canelo unlike his last couple of opponents.

I thought for sure we would see him against Benavidez on May 5th. This is a puzzling fight to take with so many more lucrative fights at 175 and 168.

He is fighting at 190. Makabu has not weighed that much in years. He will be a skeleton. BS fight.

Agreed it will be fixed if it does happen. Anyway Makabu will be dead at 190 lbs.
