So he will fight weakest champion in the nearest 3 divisions, but you fanboys would give him a pass.

Apparently the WBC is moving their CW limit down to 190, and that will be in effect for this fight.

Another fix for the roided ginger. What will be the rehydration clause for this one.

Did you have a problem with roided Pac when he fought Margarito for the 154 lb div at a catchweight?

It's a much higher jump no question but it's also very risky. I doubt Canelo would put on more than 10-15 lbs. He could probably beat this dude at CW without even putting on much weight.

If that was Pac you'd be sucking him off more than usual.

If the fight is at 200 pounds I can't envision Canelo winning tbh.

At 190, if Makabu struggles to make weight then I favour him.

Either way, what a challenge. Who cares if Makabu is the so called weakest champion, its clearly a bigger challenge than any fight people were hoping he'd take.

Benavidez, Beterbiev or Bivol seemed to be the front runners in fight hopes. This is a bigger challenge than either of those 3 imo.

    WHO CARES!!!

Alvarez has earned the right to a gimme fight after beating 3 undefeated fighter to unify a division within 11 months. As long as his next fight after that is against a legit threat, he's allowed a gimmie once and a while.

And the funny thing is, this gimme is against a guy 32 lb bigger than him.

Makubu is a small CW with a short reach for that weight class who regularly comes in below the division limit.

    He weighed

    196½ for Bellew
    193 for Mchunu
    196½ for Kudryashov
    198¾ for Papin
    197½ for Cieslak

Clenelo weighed 165 at 19 y/o in the ring
    172 at 21
    174 at 23

    Reputedly 177.4 against Lara

''On fight night, FOX's Heidi Androl reported that Alvarez weighed 177.4 pounds, with Lara coming in at 169.8 pounds.

And ever since then his weights have mysteriously not been announced

But he clearly weighs, and this is a conservative estimate, 180 now since he's moved up to MW and beyond and looks even thicker and more tank-like since going on his 'meat' diet.

And what the hell happened to Makabu's rematch against his mandatory Mchunu which had been agreed to? That rotund toad Mauricio pushing his fairy godson to the front of the queue. Surely Clenelo has to earn his shot by fighting some actual CWs first right? You know how many crucified Usyk for not doing at HW even though he'd been mandatory for over 2 years before he got his shot and had two fights at the weight during that period and as per the WBO's own rule he could've waltzed straight into a title shot at the new weight immediately.

Crawford literally received zero flak for invoking that rule TWICE, once at 140 and then again at 147 (and both shots at home too), the first of which five months after departing 135, the second 10 months after departing 140.
