    This question is for everyone.
What will you think of Hoya if he takes the Pacquiao fight?
Will there be the same outrage as when he fought Forbes.
Is it different this time cuz Hoya is the one being called out?

I personally think it would be better for Hoya to wait for Cotto. I don't see what Oscar gets from this even if he wins. If he looses it is disgraceful, if he wins he beat a little guy and its a shitty way to retire.

I'd rather he fights the Cotto/Margo winner(hopefully Cotto!). Apart from financial reasons a Pac fight is a no win situation for Oscar. As you said if he wins he beat a blown up fighter and if he looses he lost to a guy who started out at as a flyweight.

Hoya is not a factor in in any weight class, but a major attraction. So I dont mind the fight, just wish he can fight the winner of next week fight. Why does Hoya always do this, most want Hatton vs Pac and Shane vs Floyd but he ends up getting the fights. A true hustler

I won't think any more or less of him unless it turns out that he avoided a fight with the winner of Cotto/Margo, in which case I would lose an inch of respect for him.

how is losing to manny pacquiao disgraceful?:think
That's like saying Barkley losing to Roberto Duran (and im not comparing pac to duran in anyway) just saying losing to the naturally smaller fighter shouldn't diminish a fighter's credibility.

What's left to think of DLH after the golden fishnets and singing career fiasco. NOt really our business what he does in his personal life.Still would be a great fighter in my books for taking on the BEST, whether they are above (hopkins) or way below (pac) his weight.

So is it the fact that Pac is a legit current title holder that does not outrage these forums as much as the fight with Forbes did?

I wasn't personally outraged by the Forbes fight, I thought it was a decent enough work out and a decent enough turn up for Floyd.

However, it think it's safe to say that the lack of outrage as your saying would attribute to the fact that it's a more competitive fight and a bigger name involved, and Pac genuinely wants the fight, not saying Forbes didn't as everybody wants to fight DLH but Pacs calling him out so Oscar would only be responding to that.

its bad he is fighting a guys that is jumping weight classes up to 147. an increase of 40 lbs. he should be able to bully a win from pac and anything less would be disgraceful. and oh yeah i want pac to destroy mr fishnets.

I have tons of respect for De La Hoya, but I think this is a total mismatch and would lose a bit of respect for him. Forbes fought welters and showed good boxing skills in the contender and looked pretty good at 140 before moving up to fight Oscar. If the fight was a ppv and was for some kind of alphabet belt I would've probably been outraged though.

Forbes also fought at 130 & 135 and he's not as impressive as Pac at those weights. Pac definitely is a Much better Fighter than Pac and has a better chance to win than Forbes.

At my work I relay the news to my Customers whose into Boxing. One
Mex-American guy who's in his 40s and a guy who always buy the pPVs said Pac will whoop DLH's ass. One African/American Amateur boxer who seldom buy a PPV said DLH's too old, Pac will KO him. Then 3 groups of Mex Laborers was unanimous in saying that DLH is no match for Pac, They call him Puto or a ***. They have no respect for DLH but has full respect for Pac. Then some young white guys who follow boxing said pac will dominate DLH with speed. Then some Old Pinoy folks wonder coz they thought DLH's already retired. So far today all guys I talked to are all picking Pac. Way different here in ESB.

Can you guys do the same and talk to Casual boxing fans outside of the Internet based Fans??? Let's hear what's their opinions.

Those mexican laborers don't count. The only person they hate more than Pac who destroyed Barrera and Morales is Hoya who destroyed their greatest of all time Chavez.

I swear with God and my Family that everything I said was true. Most of you guys wasn't exposed to the general public like me. Some of you are just confined to your Desk and interacting thru the net. Some Pinoys who's Philippine based doesn't even met a real Mexican in flesh. I live in a Mex, Black, & asian Hood in Oakland and work in white/Asian neighborhood in Concord Ca. I'm in retail so I have an average of 100+ customers a day and if I have a Chance to talk Boxing, I always try conversate with my customers.

You know what, In the next few months I will try to make an interviews of different background of Boxing fans and will post it in youtube. I'm tired of you guys here who never respect Pacd after all these Predictions I made about Pac. I will be happy to serve you a**holes here in ESB for the sake of boxing(or for the sake of Pac).:bbb
And for those who supported me, I know you will enjoy what I'm going to do in the next few months.
