Last 5 fights: - Life and death with Chisora - Knocked down by Rivas in a fight he failed a drugs test for and had some dodgy dealings with his gloves - Looked awful against Wach - Iced by Povetkin - Beats Povetkin fresh from hospital The gloves saga from the Rivas fight has been covered up too. Wore a pair of gloves that weren’t in the rules meeting then allegedly already had them on before Rivas’ team had a chance to inspect/weigh them according to Russ Anber who’s a respected guy in boxing. Blokes a cheating scumbag.
They wouldn’t have offered Ortiz £6mil and Whyte £3.5mil. Whyte wasn’t happy with a pre determined split of any rematch clause. Oh and he was mid cycle
Brutally knocks out chisora like no one else has done. Beats the now current Briderweight champ Rivas easily. Takes on Wach at short notice, comes in out shape and looks poor. Got KOed by one the top 5 fighters in the divison. Avenges and stops povetkin in their next fight. I mean it's not quite the murders row of beating a Malik Scott (who takes a dive 1 st round), earns a title shot by beating a poor Journeyman in Jason Gavern and beating a useless lump for the title in Stiverne.
Could be wrong here wasn't it that he had Rivas' team in yo check the gloves etc. Then when he got in the ring had a totally different set on? Gave the excuse thar Fabio Wardley needed a set so he gave them ones to him? The ones he wore were a totally different colour to the ones Rivas' team signed off on. Quite hilarious the thought of the headliner for a PPV giving his gloves to a bloke in his 6th fight
Fcking hell even worse if so. I thought he had a different set to the 1’s and 2’s at the rules meeting then put them on when Rivas team weren’t present and refused to take them off to be checked. My favourite is Whyte DRIVING to Portugal during lockdown when none of his other camps had taken place there. Just a coincidence that he’d failed a drugs test not long before when his camps were in England.
"Coach Russ Anber reveals protest for Whyte v Rivas gloves swap incident" https://www.*****.net/2019/07/25/russ-anber-whyte-rivas-gloves/amp/ Covers most of it. I am certain the excuse was about fabio needing a set
Man of the people our Dillian. Giving an undercard fighter his first choice gloves in a fight he’ll have probably been 1/100 to win.
I do wonder if Whyte actually wants a title at this point. Whilst I understand the financial aspects of being the b-side surely he’d be better off just testing himself against Fury/Usyk- he’s not getting any younger.
Haye brutally knocked Chisora out several years earlier. He was on the peds for the fight with Rivas so didn't beat him fairly imo. Plus he still got put on his backside. Was out of shape v Wach cos he'd been sat on the sofa having popped for peds. Got KO'd in a fight against an old shot to pieces fighter. Avenged his loss against a post covid old shot to pieces fighter.
The Wbc heavyweight belt is about the equivalent of the IBO at the moment. Its a joke, how has whyte still not been given a shot. Disgusting, whyte should just forget it and go another route they clearly don't want him winning it.
His current winning run is 1...there's been fighters who were world champions who lost and had to go to back of the queue, yet Whyte who has never held a world title belt gets to go straight back to the front of the queue. How is that fair?
Chisora was up on his feet before the 10 count but was waved off. Not knocked out out cold like Whyte did to him. Plus Whyte beat the better version of Chisora, in the Indian summer of his career and even to his own word trains and diets correctly now. Whyte was cleared of any wrong doing for the Rivas fight. Effectively robbed a mandatory by their mistake. I mean not counting a fighter cleared of any wrong doing as not winning fairly but consider Fury winning fairly against Hammer and Wlad (didn't announce it untill after Wlad)? Got KOed by a top 5 fighter who was coming off beating the better defensive and solid chinned of the Fury's, giving the very good Hunter a good fight (I had Hunter winning though) and managed a better career win than Wilder ever has career or that Tyson Fury has in over 5 years in Koing Whyte that night. KOs and avenges his win against this top fighter and even in decline this version still beats any version of Wilder.
