Was this that time when Maidana bit Floyd on the padded glove? Floyd had been taking lessons from the John Ruiz school of acting -- founded upon Ruiz milking those low blows when he fought Holyfield -- and was simply practicing what he'd learned during those lessons in a real life setting. But even Floyd's bodyguard Kenny Bayless wasn't hoodwinked by the poor effort, so Floyd needed to hone his acting craft a little more. P.S:
Maidana bit clean through Floyd's padded glove and the hand wrap, right to his precious hand. He was expecting Bayless to coddle him and disqualify Maidana, but it cut no ice with Arbiter Kenny.
So Maidana bit through his own gumshield too. That has to be the funniest aspect in this entire debacle of terrible acting.
In hindsight, Chino really was telegraphing what a hungry little fella he was...so we really ought not be so quick to judge how fat he got.
Hopefully he drops by and shares his take on the time Maidana bit through his own gumshield, Floyd's padded glove and Floyd's hand wrap in one movement, wounding Floyd's hand and making Floyd's fingers numb in the process.
