Right because its so natural to pack on what 20/25 pounds of pure muscle on a 5'8 frame within what 4 months? Everyone that's been in or around the game knows what he is doing. Right now he can do what he wants because he's the number 1 earner but in about 2 years somebody else will assume that role. This opponent has absolutely no chance at all. The selling point is could Canelo handle a bigger boxer and that's about it. Its the what if the bigger boxer lands??

Canelo should be fine but i think he's going to look chubbier at the waist. His movement won't be inhibited much. You can be heavy and still move relatively well and he's a better boxer than Makabu who's a bit basic outside of his power which could cause Canelo problems.

Makabu looks like a classic case of a guy stuck between LHW and CW right? Has entered the ring in the 190s a lot. Wouldn’t be at CW if there was a185 or 190 division. Much like Bellew was.
Makabu is a perfect opportunity for Canelo to take his WBC title. He doesn't have enough power to stop Canelo with 1 shot. He doesn't throw a lot like Briedis. He is a small cruiser. He won't be able to walk Canelo down. Briedis and Okolie would embarrass Canelo. Okolie would just end him with 1 shot. Makabu has power,but not enough power to stop Canelo with 1 punch. A perfectly chosen opponent.
Why do you doubt it? You think he walks around anywhere near his fighting weight? Hes probably 205-210 in the ring, and surely walks around 10lbs or so above that.
