Laughable see through bandwagon jumping to pump up your boy.. you spend day in day out slating much better fighters than Makabu yet suddenly you've found a conscience when it comes to him because he's a Canelo opponent LOL .. Makabu was KOd on his debut & sparked by Bellew .. he's old too ... they knew what they were doing here & so do u .. clear, contrived cherry picking from the juiced up Mexican rodent & his PED factory team

Hopkins lost his first pro fight, look at what he was able to do.(not comparing Mackaboo to hopkins) but Youre throwing around someone being "old", as if thats somehow matters. How much credit do you give Prime Kovalev for Besting "old" hopkins who lost his "debut" fight? I would hope alot because bhop even at 49 years old was still performing at a high level and beating good competition before fighting Kovalev. That was a great win for Kovalev, despite Hopkins being "old". All credit given.

"Old" Hopkins was still fighting at the top level girl. You say you aren't comparing Makabu to Hops...but you are. Did you go to school at all??

im comparing Hopkins being "old" like the clown is trying to say about mackaboo. I never compared their accomplishments. Youre not very good at this Alt.:duh

Stop quoting me already, you just bury yourself in every post you you reply to. Watching paint dry is more interesting than having a chat with you.

This is getting a bit surreal. I'd like to have seen Canelo against Beterbiev next, but let's get somewhat real here. Becoming undisputed and then moving up two weight classes for a title with lots of room to spare for more fights in 2022 is better than what the vast majority of champions is doing.

Hell, we're stoked that Crawford is even facing a live body at WW finally, even if Porter has already lost to the other top guys and only is a gate keeper. GGG is facing Murata, not a unification in sight. Let's keep some perspective, shall we.

I love watching Canelo fight and I rate him as P4P number one but Bradley makes a very good point and it is good to hear that come from a former elite pro boxer not some butt hurt internet fan.

Canelo not good enough to beat high level boxers that outweigh him like that. Bivol beats him easy. Same with Usyk.

    facts Lance.

    he gets to pick now.
He wasn’t the A-Side till Floyd bowed out.

meanwhile Bivol & Beterbiev (B&C side types compared to the Canelo Brand)

Both of which I might add are fan favorites on these boards…. They are not fighting each other.
like so many other fighters Waiting & Hoping for that Canelo payday.

they also are NOT jumping up 2 weight divisions to take on a belt holder.

Both of which are things they are capable of.
Fighting each other in an attempt to unify as well as jumping up 2 weight divisions to collect another belt … aka questing for greatness.

You didn't know a THING about this opponent before his fight with Canelo was announced.
And its because he isn't very good.

Did you think its POSSIBLE for them to jump weight classes since neither is really a draw?
And did you consider that if they did the Cruiserweight Champ might turn them down viewing them as too high a risk vs the reward
Lets get one thing straight. As a champion you make a pretty good payday with that title.
Even if your not a huge draw you still get paid.
You lose that belt and it cuts your money significantly.

Hopkins lost his first pro fight because he was fighting LIGHTHEAVY at the time. I don't give KOV too much credit for beating a pro fighter who was 49 years old and not even close to his prime. Its more of a testament to Hopkins defensively to me on how he went the distance with KOV.
Its like asking you how much credit do you give Berbick for beating Ali?
If your legacy is beating a 49 year old and that is your best win that's pretty bad.

Hopkins was the definition of an "Old" fighter, where "Mackaboo" doesnt really fit the criteria yet, especially not when compared to Hopkins age.
