Plant was far better v Canelo but that was due to his reach advantage he won`t have that advantage v Smith but should still be able to out-box Smith who looked dreadful v Canelo.

 

I would have said Smith a couple of years ago but his last two performances against Ryder and Canelo were very poor. I'm not convinced he can get to 168 lbs as he is huge at the weight he looked a lot bigger when he fought a war torn Groves. Plant on points.

I have seen 757 times these threads after Canelo's clinic beating on them.

 

Smith 3 years ago would beat Plant of now. The weight got to him hence his poor showings against Ryder and Canelo, now he's at 175 he will look back to his ole self I'm sure.

Plant was talking to Canelo rather than punching. I wouldnt call that problems.

 

Smith is now up at 175. So unless Plant moves up, it has little to no chance of happening.

Plant doesnt need to go to 175, hes never had problems making weight and he can scoop up another belt once Canelo moves up. Besides, plant has no chance of beating the russians.
