A young Oscar beat Sweatpea with his activity. I don't see why Ennis who has the same size advantages, but is a bit more athletic than Oscar wouldn't do the same
Jaron Ennis wins by DQ. Sweet Pea was a below the waist merchant. His defensive skills were completely based on fouls.
Who has Ennis fought? Your comparing him favourably to Oscar? To beat another ATG based on? Wut? Wut?
Are you basing this upon Whitaker hitting Chavez in the nether regions once during their fight? One swallow does not a summer make. Moreover, you state that Pernell's defensive mastery was "completely based on fouls". So if that really was the case, this entire highlight video would be replete with nothing but fouling, no? This content is protected That's what Ennis would be trying to land on consistently enough to stop Pea, something that even prime Tito Trinidad couldn't accomplish against the dried up husk of Whitaker when they fought. I believe the only way Whitaker loses this is if he hardly throws any leather and starts to stand back and admire his defensive work too much. Enjoy.
If we're talking about at 147? Maybe Ennis. Ennis is bigger, stronger, more athletic, and he can punch. He's much more skilled compared to the Oscar that beat Pernelle. I think Ennish wins 8-4, but if Pernell was a natural Welter, I could see him winning a SD or it would be a draw.
Yes. Oscar was the cash cow, so even if Whitaker threw plenty, he likely wouldn't have gotten the nod just like Sturm didn't get the nod. Oscar looked terrible in that fight, but then Whitaker could do that to anyone. This content is protected If Whitaker threw plenty and wasn't just defence-minded, he gives Ennis that invaluable learning experience.
