Whatever happened to FIST, the organization that Gerry Cooney started to help retired fighters?

 

Its basically a story of how CTW and mental health have destroyed Curry.
He is in jail again and his son wants help before he hurts himself or anyone else.

I wondered the same thing. Wasn’t Alex Ramos also involved with FIST?

 

I hope that Donald gets help.

 

I think Alex had his own organization. They helped Greg Page at one point.

 

I'm not sure if he was involved.

 

FIST was doing good work for a spell. And they had an actual Board governing all activities until it was discovered that one of the board members raided the finances, which put them out of business.

 

That sucks!

 

It's true. Jake La Motta lived to be almost 100 and had over twice as many fights as Curry, who only had 40. Weird how it can effect some and not others.

 

Americans do not believe in "free" health care, so if you cannot afford to pay for a brain scan and evaluation, you won't get one.

In the UK, you'd get some sort of attention and treatment anyway, on the NHS, even if you might have to wait a couple of months.
