    yes, that's normal. The beating was too big. Araujo complained, though, and he is right. By the book it should not have been stopped. I have no problem with this stoppage though, the referee spared him a hell of a beating.

    Rough stoppage in a fight where, based on the scorecards here, Araujo might have been capable of winning.

    I think he was starting to get ****ed up though, I don't totally hate stopping an 8 rounder then but since it's such a big stage he should have been allowed to continue.

    Look, he was taking heavy shots, but they were the same shots he had been taking all night.

    It was a poor stoppage, he wasn't wobbled, he wasn't visible hurt and maybe the referee should have gone to his corner between rounds and said "you're taking too much, if you don't show me something then I'm stopping it".

    But just to step in without so much as a wobble is too soft.

    From moratalla I take how easily he can put together punches in combinations, in effective combinations. With awesome punch selection.

    No wonder why rorberto garcía likes him.

    Looking forward to watching more of him.

    Muratalla was landing punches but these weren't devastating punches. I have no idea why ref stopped it. He wasn't hurt. This is boxing after all. If the fighter is still in the fight and not hurt give him the chance to land that fight changing punch.

    I mean I think it was inevitable he was going to lose, more than likely by KO, but he was still competing hard, even if Muratalia was starting to pour it on in that 5th round. The cut didn't look that bad

    i think its a judgement call. if it was 2 champs, who are proven, then you let him try and find the miracle. but he looked outmatched.
