Why is Canelo and Anthony Joshua Superstars, but Spence and Crawford aren't

Spence is getting there, and Crawford has a chance tonite to propel to that level. We'll see in about 2-3 hours from now.

 

Because Hearn is good at marketing - he is the best. Canelos stock and money trippled when he dumped golden boy and let Hearn in.

 

You have answered yourself by mentioning them in the same breath...Spence and Crawford won't fight each other. Why would two company champions be superstars?

Yeah i would. People know spence more from his victories over Mikey(has a pretty big following), danny and porter. Also he was an olympian also so anybody who watched the 2012 olympics know of him. And if you look at their ppv buys spence beats him by at least double everytime.

 

Definitely not a superstar, but he’s more famous than Crawford and Spence fs

 

The guys they have to compare with at WW are pacquiao and mayweather who are still fresh in everyone's minds, and these guys are not willing to take the same risks or do remotely as much as those two did, nor imo are they fighters of the same calibre as those two, so they just kinda look subpar in comparison.

 

Spence is making superstar money as he is a PPV hit Crawford is not. As Mayweather says they are great fighters but nobody knows who they are. No point being the best fighter in the world if nobody knows who you are.

 

Joshua is a HW from the UK who had an audience from the beginning. He got a good start from 2012 London Olympics.

Canelo has the Mexican fanbase behind him and he is (officially) unbeaten for the last 8 years.
