Just putting this out there. The famous smoking gun of the cracked wrap against Cotto was actually an optical illusion created by a piece of black fluff/thread on the surface of the wrap. Video footage showed this to be the case.

come on man, why are you making it sound like capetillo said illegal substance? what need is there to manipulate the facts? capetillo admitted to using a used pad. a pad the size of a cracker and not even half as thick. as an intelligent person, how much strength do you think that pad carried, if in fact it was dipped in plaster? stronger than an actual cracker?
ive used plenty of plaster in my sculpture classes and subsequent work, that plaster would turn to dust with the first punch he connected. too thin to have any effect.

People are still mad that they bet the house on Kneegal Cotto to beat Margarito. These idiots are still living in cardboard boxes down your neighborhood alleys since they haven't been able to recuperate all the money they lost betting against Margarito. They howl and cry that Margarito cheated. I laugh all day long as I see these barefoot idiots yelling into the sky that "Margarito cheated."

 

Just look at the beast Margarito was before being caught. Then all of the sudden the same night he was caught, he was outclassed and KOd by an OLD Mosley. Mayweather destroyed that same Mosley as did Pac. Not that I think Margarito has been at either of those two level, but OLD Mosley outclassed him.

I watched the Cotto fight at the time and commented something was askew. Didn’t see anything that would account for the massive damage to Cotto in the last round or two. Seemed blatantly obvious in retrospect once Margarito got caught. And he never showed anything close to the power he had prior to being caught. Can lose a lot of things with age and inactivity but, power isn’t one of them, not at that level.

 

We can't look into it in depth can we not. We aren't privvy to enough information or evidence, just anecdotal assumptions.

It was investigated though, and he was found guilty and suspended against Mosley.

As for the Cotto fight, I don't think he cheated.
