Because he was finding Porter too easy. I don't think that Porter could have avoided the devastating shots that were coming.

 

Porter is a hard dude to fight, not sure what people expected. He showed up and gave it all he had. Crawford was beating him on the cards, dropped him twice, and stopped him. He did what he was supposed to do, credit to Porter for making it tough but Crawford had another level that Porter didn’t.

 

Given the official cards, we are really just arguing over whether we’d prefer that stoppage or prefer getting angry about Crawford winning a wide decision

Just seems odd to me that a loving father would embarrass his son like that in the post interview. He says his son didn't properly train for the fight and then goes on to praise Bud saying his son didn't stand a chance from that point on. Your son was leading most of the fight, idiot. Where is the strength and belief in his upbringing that was focused on so much in the hype show?

For the record, I do think Bud would have TKOd him but Shawn's head, other than being frustrated, was clear. Who knows Shawn could have gone on to win the next two rounds and he had banked enough early rounds on my cards to make a case for a split decision despite the knockdowns.

Good win for Bud marred by a BS stoppage from perhaps a father with too much control.

He had one round round different, all three judges scored every round the same except the 8th, it’s the only round that was different.
