Is it just me that thinks Vitali Klitschko could come back now and be a top 5 fighter?

Still looks in tremendous shape. Though I appreciate he slowed down towards the end. Amazing chin though.

He could try and break his body in training.

Vitali is A rare individual who is extremely tough, and had such a
hardwired fighting spirit, and a chin of iron

And given his size and his skills, I would not doubt that one bit that he could train and come back and work his way up to a title fight with Tyson fury

not sure an aged VK could beat fury, and he could certainly give him a very good test

but I think he could beat everyone else. even at his age

this is the guy that came back from four years of an activity and surgery and had NO warm up fights and beat the hell out of Samuel Peter to reclaim his title

“NO warmup fights after four years, and he beat the world champion title holder” ……….let me state that again

Yes. Its just you. The guy is 50. Retired. No way he comes back and is a top 5 fighter. Especially with his history of injuries.

He'd get beaten by someone like Trevor Bryan these days.

Would love to see him comeback for just one fight, a rematch with Lennox Lewis. I bet those two guys could still give fans one heck of an entertaining fight even at their age.

No. He looked well past his prime against Charr and that was nearly 10 years ago.

You mean Wlad ? Everybody in Ukraine saying that he wants to come back after Usyk retires. Maybe somewhere in 2023

It wasn't a coincidence that Wlad had 18 consecutive defences and Vitali only 9. Vitali had serious problems with injuries and even had to retire for 4 years in his 30's. This is probably mainly due to Vitali's tendency to throw and absorb lots of punches relative to the faster, more accurate, more defensively responsible and more powerful Wlad. Throwing (hand, arm, elbow, bicep, shoulder) and taking punches, especially in quick succession = greater wear and tear, more injuries, fewer fights and a shorter career, even if you have an iron chin and don't get KO'd. He's on the wrong side of 50 at this point and a decade inactive, all of the top 30-50 guys would likely beat him.
