I remember reading a couple years ago Nikita was done with boxing. Do you know when he had his last amatuer fight? I assume the success of his brother has encouraged his decision. Would love to see him shatter Ben Horn’s glass jaw.

Any word on Jeff Horn? Has he officially retired or will we see him back in the ring in 2022?

Think he gave it away in 2016 so he's been out for a while. With things shutting down with Covid over the last couple of years it doesn't seem like that long. He's going to be with the same management team but hasn't signed on with a promoter. I think that's potentially a smart move in that it will allow him to fight on various promotions in the initial part of his career. It would also be good to distinguish his career from Tim's. Initially it probably doesn't matter who he fights. Tim didn't fight anyone with a winning record in his first six so I reckon they will start slowly with Nikita. They need talent for local shows so it will be good to see him in the mix.

I could be remembering this wrong but I thought I read Nikita was actually more athletically gifted than his older bro( was a better gymnast) but just didn't have the appetite to be immersed in boxing once he hit his late teens.

Tim was out of the game from a while because of injuries aswell. So no reason Nik can't succeed.

The question is what nickname will the SM Memorial thread christen him with?

    Horndog in the house!

The fight I'd like to see is Horndog v Wade Ryan. I think Wade Ryan puts it on him & takes him out. If Horndog wins, he's back in the world rankings & potentially only another win away from a world title shot. He still owes Michael Zerafa a rubber match. Horndog should finish his career at the finish line, not 12 months shy of it.

I would also like to see Wade Ryan, the King of Gunnedah, take on all the Queensland Junior Middles next year. One after the other. Go up to Qld, sort them out & become the King of Queensland as well. Wade Ryan versus Horndog, Ben Mahoney & Dennis Hogan are fights I would like to see.

I think Wade Ryan kayos Horndog, UD's Ben Mahoney & SD's Dennis Hogan.

I was thinking the exact same thing Wade Ryan v Jeff Horn is a good fight and agreed I favor Ryan to get the late stoppage. I am sure they could do a big card up in QLD with Justis Huni v Junior Fa and Jeff Horn v Wade Ryan.

I could see Queensland glass shattering all night the Horn brothers and I wouldn't be surprised to see Fa KO Huni. Huni is highly skilled but I think he is lacking the power and chin.

    So true mate.

He is such a promising talent. I think once he settles into the pro ranks and gets his man strength his power will come along, though I never see him being a devastating puncher.

It would be shame if his QLD blood has weakened his mandible. There is nothing he could have done about that.
