Yes, starting with this fight. And this fight isn't the reason why; Sulaiman was talking in fall of 2020 about making this change and went on record saying that Makabu had personally said he was comfortable making 190. ...but 190 isn't 180.
Any decent lhw not drained would knock canelo out DECENT dude log the **** off idiot now if you woulda said any top lhw or cruiser ok but any decent dude stfu!!!!
And? Canelo is not a cruiserweight at all but you are exaggerating his size. He's a short 5'7 guy that is solidly build. Nothing extraordinary.
Pac rehydrates 1-3 pounds and walks around his 150. Clenelo? Who knows. 15? 20? Has he ever looked like the physically weaker man in any of his fights? All but Marquez has mentioned their size advantage over Pac in the last plus decade. I don't hear any of Clenelo's opponents saying their size will be a factor/advantage. Not the same situation. Sorry.
I doubt that. Only Chavez Jr was doing such ridiculous cutting. Canelo came in low 170s at MW against Golovkin.
That's purely water weight. And he wouldn't be coming in at the limit, which is what all fighters tend to do to not be at a disadvantage.
It's still a catchweight. Main problem with catchweights is the limiting of your opponent. Any catchweight of any kind is lame, specially for a title.
