Nah, Bivol and Beterbiev both became world champions four years ago in November. Its damn time they stop acting like clowns ignoring each other and fight each other.

Blame Bivol. He is looking for Ginger.
Beterbiev couldn't even get Joe Smith Jr. in the ring with him. He will be 37 soon, doesn't have time to marinade fights or avoid fighters.

    Beterbiev isn't ducking anyone.

Bro, you know its a promotional issue. Bivol does not want it. Beterbiev wants to unify but he has an unwilling promotor.

Bob Arum talks Crawford down and now Crawford wants to leave he is suddenly dangling a Josh Taylor carrot infront of him to get him to stay.

Fighters want fights. Promoters are lazy and risk averse these days.

We all know Beterbiev would smash Bivol the same way he beat gvozdyk

Your right! it's like people forget that...Gvozdyk would have beat little Bivol.

I agree. It is very clear that Hearn is looking to match Zurdo and Bivol in the spring. No matter who wins between those two he will still control a belt and have a chance to match that fighter against Canelo for big dollars.

    Exactly

Plus, Hearn has already lost too many belts via his fighters losing big fights. Bivol is one of his last remaining big name titlists that he can leverage into a big fight again.

Thus I agree, Bivol will be sacrificed to Canelo when Canelo does go to 175lbs. The Beterbiev fight is way too physical for a small guy like Canelo.

Bivol is Elite in his division,he does't have a skechty win in his resume...unlike Joe Smith in the Vaslov fight.

I actually could see Zurdo beating Bivol. I think Bivol should be favored but Zurdo definitely is capable. Zurdo vs Canelo in Mexico City for a belt at 175 would be huge!!! Hearn knows that as well and I wouldn't be surprised if he is hoping for an all Mexican showdown. I think he steers clear of Beterbiev who is without question the most dangerous man at 175. It's all about the dollars.

I still like to see Ramirez vs Beterbiev that would be amazing! it's for me a 55-45 for Beterbiev,of course Beterbiev would be favourite.

This a waste. It makes little sense why these top guys have fights like these. When you only compete one to two times a year, every fight should be a hard one. Bivol should be fighting Beterbiev and no one else.

Did he though? I haven't seen the fight, but everytime I see a foreigner lose a close decision down under, I wonder if that's really what happened in the ring. Comparable to a foreigner on an ESPN, Matchroom, PBC, Vegas, Queensberry, German card.

That said, I don't expect Bivol to have anything to fear from Salamov.
