In the past decade, 154. Top names never seem to fight each other because there's a bigger name at MW they're waiting to step up to and face. The level of talent always seems to be a valley between its neighboring divisions. Just a strange division where top fighters occasionally go to hide out for a bit.
154 lbs Can't remember last time anybody stayed there long enough to dominate, and they all just look skinny fat in there....ending stop for blown up lightweights
I don't care about 105. I'm not one of those "small man bad" guys, some of my favorite fighters and fights of all time have been at 105. I just don't care that much about any of the active guys. 154 is miserable but other posters have already talked about that. 105 is the only weightclass of the really small guys where I don't have anyone to root for.
Joke Post! when i see small men fight, i say to myself: Stop fighting little men and go play with ur tonka...oh sorry ur grown ass men now is it ur wife? she taller than u...i bet she fetch u things u can't reach in the kitchen lol oh sorry i did it again!
The lightweight division is as bad as it gets. So much talent, but no fights getting made. It's depressing. The only guy out of them who wants to fight is Loma. The rest of them prefer to have fights on twitter rather than in the ring.
Every division under FW. As a matter of fact, I only like 2 people under FW (Nonito and Inouye), I just can't pay attention to those fighters.
HW is great right now: 1.) Usyk 2.) Fury 3.) Joshua 4.) Whyte 5.) Wilder 6.) I will put Joyce here as most people do, for the sake of making the list better. Find a better top 6 in the 90s. Pro tip: You can’t
Super middleweight has been a waste of title ever since Ward and Froch left. At least we got to see an elite level fighter in it with Canelo’s likely brief reign for the last fighter.
Welterweight and middleweight, not so much because of what they are but because these are historically the best divisions in boxing. Ruled by ATGs in almost every era, a lot of times they had a seriously good top 25. Now they struggle to fill out a top 5. LHW might be my favorite division right now. Besides Bivol and Beterbiev who are sitting there like Charlie and his grandfather waiting for Canelo/Wonka to let them into the chocolate factory, there are some good fights getting made. Those two though, I used to love them (especially Bivol), now I hate them (especially Bivol). Smith Jr is among my top favorites, he's a guy who could have had a nice income stream fighting knockovers and posing for calendars and instead he fights one of the toughest schedules in boxing. Doesn't always win, but that only endears him to me more. Imagine Caleb Plant or Ryan Garcia taking a fight with some unknown Eurasian guy who was levels better than him? Like you, I think he did taste gold. Close fight though. It's historically bad, hopefully Crawford as free agent and Canelo never coming back to 160 opens things up a little in those divisions.
We've only seen 3 out of 15 matchups from those 6 though, that's the issue at HW. These guys are coming up on retirement age. The lightweights are still young enough that I have some hope, call me in 10 years and then I'll be sad about them.
