This is why Canelo learned to speak English, so he can do interviews in a limited language and if the questions get too hard he can say "no habla Ingles. Me no entiendo" and feign ignorance. He can't get away with that in Mexico. And most of his PAYING Mexican fans are Mexican-Americans who are just happy to have a mascot to cheer. Credit to Team Canelo though; they know their worth and how to play the game to a tee now.

Canelo is a mega mega star in Mexico. An incredible 7 out of every 10 homes were tuned in to watch his fight with Plant, so who cares what a disgruntled reporter thinks, the people support and love Canelo.
