Canelo would destroy Paz on my opinion. The way Paz fought would give Canelo ample opportunities for his devastating counters. I'm not the biggest Canelo fan, but he was much better/ more complete fighter than Paz.

I don't think it is as wide as you might first think. I too said Canelo should, but I don't rule the Paz out to a blow out!

I really think Paz is kinda underrated. Anything about Canelo destroying Paz I highly disagree with that. Pazienza is very fast on his feet also with his hands which has earned the respect from Roy Jones Jr. and Herol Graham, very very underrated defense, good chin and has a high work rate. I see Canelo getting troubled early by Pazienza's SUPERIOR speed, yes SUPERIOR. He is no Khan, a flat flooted fighter with no real defense. Paz's footwork, speed and defense would trouble Canelo early and I also see Canelo missing a lot of punches trying to counter Paz. Eventually, Canelo figures him out and but I can't see him knocking him out. Noted that Paz was only knocked out by Roy during his prime after making him miss a sh*tload of punches.

Sooo I'd say Canelo by SP after a competitive fight. Here's some Vinny Paz's highlight reel for better visualization:

50/50 chance of Pazienza needing over 100 stitches.

Pazienza got dropped by an ancient Roberto Duran as a super middleweight, and he's gonna even compete with Canelo? No way.

160 is a Catchweight where the two Stature wise could meet... the Paz came up from LW if I remember right and finishing at about 175 and Canelo WW I believe to MW and beyond...

So 160 is 'just' a comfortable Catchweight meet where we would see the two comfortably competitive,

don't get number stuck, rather it's a Generalisation - that's a terrible British thing we Brits suffer from, North Americans by contrast 'get' a generalization with No Explanation needed.

a COMFORTABLE Catchweight. nothing anally dissected required, nor intended!
