Heeey, this was my scoop. (from before it even was an official scoop, but I had implicit trust in my sources) https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/kazuto-ioka-vs-jerwin-juntilla-ancajas.675891/ Even happening on NYE like they said.
Awesome. This reminds me, though. Has anything happened with Tanaka since he lost? Edit: nevermind, just seen his scheduled to face a guy Gonzalez beat; Tanaka-Gonzalez would be a good fight early next year.
GGG vs Murata and Ioka vs Ancajas, what a way to end the year. Leave it to Japan for giving us excellent fights before New Years once again. I'm really excited for this one.
Yeah he's gonna be fighting Sho Ishida who's pretty goddamn good and a great litmus test for his future at 115lbs.
A truly fantastic matchup, I'm genuinely intrigued to see if Ioka is going to show up for this one because if he does he can destroy Ancajas who is no jamoke himself. This could also be Ancajas announcing himself as an elite and teeing himself up to fight Estrada or SSR. All I know is I want an undisputed fight at 115lbs, would be one of the best fights ever and probably the biggest of this generation considering the depth of quality in the division.
Same here, the division is really stacked and is in need of a unification bout. You can add Nietes and Sor Rungvisai to the equation as well. Hopefully we'll see an undisputed fight at 115.
Yeah it's a crazy division, the fact that Nietes, Sor Rungvisai, Cuadras, Chocolatito and Tanaka are all just contenders is mad. There's also Andrew Moloney, Franco, Rodriguez Jr. and such, just stacked to the brim.
