Where do i start, where do i end. A man who has never been stopped, fought every top welterweight over the last 10 years not named PacWeather. The man never lost a fight that couldn't have easily went the other way, took on the tough and gritty fighters, the slick fighters the bangers and never got beat up, never looked in trouble, never looked out of his depth. Now he loses to Crawford, easily one of the best fighters in the game today and we have "fans" calling this man a gatekeeper. Porter fought a brilliant fight, made Crawford very uncomfortable, and was fighting on even terms until the end. Porter looked as good or better as he did vs Brooke, Spence, Thurman, Garcia and Ugas.... He looked fast, explosive, his reflexes were there and his punch resistance was intact ..Yes , Crawford beat the best Porter, and no he was not shot or a gatekeeper. Why the bullshittin?
Who in gods name is SEAN Porter? Put some respect on his name. He's a warrior and fought everyone at 147. Calling him Sean is a joke. You should be banned for this.
Damn... i forgot how petty the boxing internet was.... thanks for the spelling clarification mods..... Lol no feedback though
I decided to stop at 2 but yall get the picture.... I'm sorry for messing up Porter first name, the man is a tribute to this sport.
porter is not a gatekeeper, no way. Porter is a champion, an underrated champion I think. This guy is much better than his record.
He's not a gatekeeper but i think he would have done better in his career if he had a different trainer than his father. I think a better trainer would have refined his skills and improved him. I think they'd have also given him a better gameplan in the bigger fights he had.
I’ll never understand the notion that Porter is gatekeeper status when he’s only lost to highly ranked fighters at the time. He has good names on his resume and has beaten Malignaggi, Alexander, Broner, Berto, Granados, Garcia, and Ugas (the guy who beat Pac to retirement). Hardly a gatekeeper. Boxing will miss Porter.
