Some would....some wouldnt!! He gets decent coverage in media like the newspapers.....just cos sky havent featured him up till now makes many folk think he is some stranger
Aye, he's known from Dunnet Head to The Mull of Galloway This content is protected This content is protected
He even received a hero's welcome in Prestonpans which is an obscure little fishing town that nobody in Scotland (outside of Prestonpans of course) has ever heard of before
No, I have relatives in Scotland and they`ve never heard of his, his fights wouldn`t have done good PPV numbers in Scotland really.
I,d say no. Hes not really been well promoted over here. Was with the mcguigans who actually done well with his career in terms of getting him the right fights at the right time etc. But looks like its hard to get a lot of coverage over here if your not named eddie hearn. Tbf if he fights in scotland he,d sell out arenas because theres enough that know of him but the average man on the street doesnt know him too well i,d say...more the people that have an interest in boxing. I m not sure how many times hes actually boxed in scotland. They,ve not really built his name here. Think with the sky deal his name will get bigger tho...after his last win he started getting more plaudits in the media etc. One or two fights away from a big breakthrough over here tho i think.
Taylor has boxed in bonnie Scotland x 9 (Edinburgh x 4, Glasgow x 5) He actually made his pro debut in the US (El Paso) His 6th pro fight was in the US too (Brooklyn) And his 8th (Las Vegas) And 18th obviously against JCR (Las Vegas) He's also fought in Ireland and Wales And England x 3 too Scotland x 9 The US x 4 England x 3 Wales x 1 Ireland x 1
