This circus is a farce but I am looking forward to this fight more than the Paint Dry Parker v Pudding Chisora fight. The uncertainty is exciting.
I think it's better for the integrity of boxing if Tommy loses, gets that Napoleon Dynamite style drawing of a face bashed up and goes back to just doing Z list celebrity stuff.
I think if Tommy applies enough pressure on Jake then he will break and get to him. There's still question marks over Tommy in regards to his stamina because this will go past four rounds which he's not yet been accustomed to in the professional ranks. This content is protected Jake looks like he hits a bit harder but loads up more on his shots. Tommy looks like his foot movement is more fluid naturally than Paul's who seemed a bit stiff in the Woodley fight. I think it might be a close fight and i'm not sold on either fighter by watching their previous matches. I think they both have flaws either one of them can capitalize on. Tommy looks like the better mover but smothers his work a bit and his power is questionable even though he has actually knocked out proper boxers. He's only fought four rounders so maybe his stamina will deplete as the fight gets into the later stages. Jake has only knocked out non-boxers who've not trained much in the sport. Askren didn't train much and was coming off a potential career ending injury. He was more focused on the dramatics and the social media fame before the fight than the actual fight itself. He was there simply for the big payday. Jake's power might not be as good as he thinks.
Because it will mean a pro boxer hasn't lost to a Youtuber. I know Tommy isn't great but if he has the slightest bit of boxing ability he should flatten him.
I feel like John is going to have a little less to do with Tyson’s career after his showing here - it’s OK (not great by any stretch) in a gimmick fight like this, but Tyson is the Heavyweight Champion and going to be part of some huge, ridiculously big matches in the next 18 months and you can’t have your Dad talking about bending over a girl etc in press conferences.
