Floyd would have a chance if the ring was the size of a football field. Hagler would have walked through Floyd's punches and would whoop him like Floyd beats women. This would not be much of a contest and Duckweather would be hiding out in Argentina.
I appreciate that. Thank you. If you want to let me know what you don’t agree with, we could debate it.
You know that London was trying to paint an aging Hagler and Canelo as having polar opposite styles, right?
Floyd would never take the fight. But , if he was foolish enough to do so he would be smashed even by a shot Hagler.
What has that got to do with you stating: " This content is protected "? Additionally: What is disingenuous about making that observation?
You're thinking emotionally, not logically and logic has much to do with match making Michael Spinks set the precedent in 1985. Ray Leonard saw it and learned from it, that a smaller man CAN be competitive with a bigger, stronger man. If the bigger man has slowed enough, then he cant hit you and if struggling to land, then he won't hurt you. Jimmy Young proved that in the Ali fight and the same reasoning goes for men even smaller than Leonard The reason Hagler still won his fight with Leonard? Hagler's body blows
I'm fairly confident that whatever Leonard could do, Mayweather could do better. After all, he IS undefeated while Leonard sports some lopsided losses and in another, was knocked out.
Mayweather could not knock out Hearns or Kaule. Hearns smashes him. Kaule probably beats him as well. Mayweather could not beat prime Benitez so clearly. Mayweather could not beat Hagler. Mayweather is only unbeaten because his competition was so poor.
Kalule wouldnt beat Floyd. He was too slow and would be outpointed. I dont remember Kalule as being highly touted. Benitez might be a struggle but Floyd would always be a step ahead of him (this wasn't Cervantes we're talking about!)
What do you mean his competition was poor? It was anything but poor. Floyd has beaten them all with only one of his wins in dispute
Because he stated that while failing to mention that Canelo mostly fights off the front foot and stalks opponents, in contrast to what the vast majority of counterpunchers do. We're going even deeper into fantasy land if we're going to pretend that Hagler couldn't throw a counterpunch. You know damn well what he was trying to do with that post.
Mayweather vs Hagler? who's going to tie Floyd up and drag him into the ring? And it better be a gage match because Floyd will run when he's untied.
