I'd love to see Fury fight Whyte because it'll be an easy KO for him in front of a huge British audience against a 'name'. Although I've noticed Whyte doesn't seem too keen to fight Fury. Usually he's shouting obscenities from the rafters. He's been quite subtle in his comments about Fury, only really replying to stuff Fury has said.
Needs to fight wallin anyway imo. Fair enough he says hes injured and understand there was a proposed fury fight on the horizon. But terrible way to treat anyone. weeks before the fight. Find it embarrssing him and the team are now complaining about stuff...lost the moral high ground after the wallin call off.
Why is Fury running away from Whyte, for the 1000th time? I mean if Sefer seferi, Tom Schwarz, Pianeta, Wallin the Wally can get the Tyson Fury treatment with 600 people in attendance (combined)... why not the WBC #1 Contender who sells out 20,000 tickets every time? (Covid not permitting) I mean Fury turned down an order from the WBC to face Whyte for a diamond belt. Quoted as saying "Diamond belts don't interest me, I'm more interested in Matalan belts"
If Whyte believed he could win then surely it's a no brainer and take slightly less than 45% I don't think he fancies it and wants to make it worth taking a beating. If you loses he's not going to get a shot again that soon I'm thinking he wants to cash out.
Chris Eubank Sr got 40K for the Benn fight in 1990. He was happy. He knew he’d win and the money would come. Whyte is a fraud and a fake.
As has already been said here, Whyte doesn't seem confident enough to back himself against Fury. Deep down, Whyte knows he'll get an absolute doing from Fury, and is angling for the full 45% to make it worth his while.
I would love to pick your brain on this. I clocked you taking a lot of flak, on this forum for fighting your man's corner. I'm more than willing to give you a chance to convince me on why on earth Fury would run away from Whyte.
Haha. Whyte's last fight in front of a crowd in the UK (Rivas) had a half empty O2. Did about 11k tickets.
well yes but 80 - 20 has been mentioned which isnt close to 45% The WBC should just call the fight and then let it play out as normal. if no deal is agreed they go to purse bids and the split becomes whatever the rules say.
That's my point if Whyte really wanted it he would fight for peanuts. get the belt and then he can make the cash. If he's trying to get 45% then he's pricing himself out. 20-80 split is low but he should take it if he's confident.
I can see Whyte ending up with egg on his face , his previous dealings with WBC should have taught him he isn’t the flavour of the month. I realise that everyone wants as much cash as possible and the difference between 80/20 as opposed to 55/45 is massive but what happens if he doesn’t get the declared mandatory shot ? He is getting a bit old to be hanging around he blew his shot against AJ and was lucky to get opportunity to overcome the Povetkin loss ! 20% of a decent purse is still good money and if he could get an upset then he would be in the driving seat . There has been countless boxers better than Whyte who didn’t earn a fraction of what he has done .
In his 8th professional fight at age 21, by a more experienced professional. Lewis was beaten twice in his prime, while holding world titles.
