Damn near every heavyweight ranked in the top ten from the 40's until 2000 would absolutely school every ranked heavyweight from 2005- 2022, that includes Fury, who would only get a few wins on some because sheer size advantages.
You don't post much at all i disagree with but McCallum's actual win over Jackson wouldn't have had much to do with Steward supposedly wanting no part of him. Jackson was virtually unknown and hadn't done much of anything at this point. He was still a few years away from getting real acclaim. If anything Steward would have been buoyed that an unknown had put McCallum in trouble early whether he came back from it or not. Hearns had actually left 154 for good prior to this bout and was actually winning a title at 175 six or so months later before dropping back to win the 160 pound title. McCallum lost to Kalambay as soon as he moved to 160 and Hearns was beaten by Barkley a few months later. You would be right that none of them were looking at McCallum as he was a very small draw compared to others.
I'm speculating that Stewart didn't want Tommy to fight McCallum mostly based on all the time McCallum spent at Kronk. He knew how good and dangerous he was and he also knew that he was not worth the risk fiscally. I have no doubt that Tommy would fight anyone in front of him but I truly believe that most weren't itching to fight McCallum. That's why he had to go all over the globe and fight other bogeyman in their own backyards to make a buck.
Frank Bruno (Ring Magazine #6 in 1995) schools Wladimir Klitschko? Unpopular opinions: Tyson (Holmes fight) beats Prime Ali in a one-sided fashion.
What does damn near mean to you. But since you decided to go their I'll take the bait with is Bruno that much worse than Sanders? Purritty ?Brewster, and Joshua? 3 of those losses was when Klitchko should've been in his prime. Say what you will about Bruno everyone of his losses with the exception of Smith came against true world class opponents 3 of those losses came against Tyson x2 and Lewis when he was past prime, those two fighters are considered great, so yeah Bruno would be a major challenge if not a out right loss for W.Klitchko.
