I'm sure he'll pop up again, probably debating whether his son is the greatest ever with an ex-world champion. And by debating i mean shouting at them. I've never seen the appeal or entertainment value in him, you'd get the same value if you pulled some random pisshead out of the crowd.
I wonder if the Paul brothers have heard about the Mickey Theo beef with big bad John? Be funny if they ripped the **** out of him live on TV
I don't what he said was worse than a regular Tyson presser so cancelling from BT would be nonsensical.
BT use him as he generates a lot views and interest. His BT documentary on the Fury heritage has already done 2m+ views in only a few months. I think they will stand him down for the time being and wait to see if things blow over. They will have been relying on him to produce content leading towards the PPV, so they will be pissed. If they do continue use him, it will probably be pre- recorded/edited content.
That's what annoyed me about his inclusion in that round table where he was goading Haye to make a bet. He just shouts over everyone with absolutely no ability to listen.
I think this is the reason they use him tbh because his predictions for Tyson always seem bang on and he seems to be proved right, when it comes to boxing you carnt really doubt his credentials he is a former pro who's son is 2 time HW champion of the world. It's just the shite he talks that is not boxing and when he goes all road man. He's a 50+ year old man that has done jail for gouging a man's eyes out he is a disgusting human, hope BT get rid of the live stuff and only use his insite in pre recored edited segments.
John Fury was mildly amusing and had some appeal a few years back when he was off the screens and just in the background with Tyson. I was a big fan especially with his IFL interviews back in the day. Struck me just as a straight shooter who was backing his son, a bit of a hard nut who commands respect and was funny in a way. Big Micky Theo totally shattered that illusion though when he called John’s bluff and called him out for a straightener and John didn’t want any of it. All he can do is insult people and pretend to call them out for a fight. He will never actually follow up on it. Hell I’d bet even BJ Flores would have called his bluff at a press conference and stuck it on him and you’d then get the whole “hold me back” routine from John while he’s screaming obscenities from the top of his lungs.
I think he's quite funny. There's no reason why he shouldn't be part of the circus that boxing has become. I prefer him to Bellew or Bunce, that's for sure.
