John Mugabi at his peak was one of the best boxers I have seen. Who will ever forget his war with Marvelous Marvin Hagler.
I can definitely understand your feeling about Garza. I thought he was going to be a long standing world champ. So he may have won a title but it was a disappointing reign.
Part of Howard's problem was his father as his trainer. The Whacko Twins offered some quality opponents for Howard and he wanted them, but his father turned him down. If he had the right person in his corner, he beats Watts easily and becomes a 2 division champion, at minimum.
Thanks! I was watching the Garza-Negron fight a few weeks ago again, and it was a good scrap. Negron could have been champion, and both him and Garza would have given Wilfredo Gomez a few good rounds before the ultimate demise.
Hmmmmm, althought it says he did win a couple of titles, I always thought raushee warren would be a big name and has come up very short, excuse the pun
Tony Jeffries Darren Sutherland Spencer Oliver Kevin Mitchell Frankie Gavin Andrew Selby John Murray Herol Graham Michael Watson Audley Harrison Matthew Macklin Paul Smith Chris Finnegan For one reason or another they just didn’t do it despite some challenging for the world titles.
