So Badou just had a tune up at CW and did what he was expected to. With that said, at 38 after the wars he has been in, what do you think he has left and who do you think he matches up well with?

I think Bredias is a bridge too far for him but fights with Glowaki, Makabu, Mchunu and Lehrnea would be fun. With his excellent body work, and not having to drain himself it will be interesting if he can make some noise at this late stage of his career.

Him vs Kovalev would be neat.

Yeah, I would favor Badou in that one especially with how he goes to the body. I thought Badou should have got the decisions in both the Adonis Stevenson and Jean Pascal fights in recent years. He seems fresher than Kovalev but maybe a move to CW would benefit Kovalev as well. He was seriously drained against Canelo.

I would favor Kovalev in this one. He is IMO just the naturally more talented of the two and the 2 year layoff has probably helped his body heal.

He definitely had the better career. All comes down to what they have left.

If this fight is made, what they have left may be the biggest mystery in boxing. Kovalev hasn't fought in more than two years and only God knows if he's gotten his personal demons under control. Jack has managed to stay active but hasn't beaten a top tier fighter since Nathan Cleverly in 2017.

Both of them are well past their prime and while Jack would never have been a winner against an at his best Krusher, I don't think we will ever see that again. Jack by decision.

I thought Jack was very unlucky to not get the decisions against both Adonis Stevenson and Jean Pascal. The only fight he really lost recently was the Browne fight when he was dealing with that God awful cut.

I did have Jack beating Stevenson and DeGale, for that matter. I gave Pascal the nod but I could see it going the other way without complaint.

All of those fights were so close. I just really like the way he fights and would love to see him go out with another big fight. Hopefully something happens in the next year.
