This content is protected Thank christ for that. Hopefully they both retire and we don't see either box again after that. Not a fight I have any interest in but quite interesting this lands on Sky when Eddie has been both of their recent promoters
I'll be watching it. Fun fight and fun build up. When active boxers, promoters and TV companies up and down the divisions do their best to avoid putting on the best fights, I'll gladly watch a fight like this. And because it's on Sky Sports, you just know it'll be plastered absolutely everywhere. Anyone who says they won't watch it, is lying to you.
Shelly Brook v Amir Con should fight in the York Hall Car Park at 5am - the fight is 6 years too late and pointless. Those PPV Mugths are in for a royal poking.
Boxing fans watch all fights but surely even the thickest PPV Mug is not being parted with more than 26p for this fight.
Years too late but I’ll definitely still watch it. I’ve always preferred Khan out the two. Hope he lands on that Papier-mâché eye socket and gets a stoppage.
Khans had lots of times to make this fight when the public actually wanted it. Hes waited till brooks totally finished before taking it. Waste of time.
It’s still a fight I can’t really pick a winner with any certainty. So there is still a bit of intrigue from my point of view. However there’s not a chance I’ll be paying PPV for this.
The best thing about this fight is that you genuinely don’t know who is going to win- both have been inactive and clearly are way past their best. Sky have been itching to do a PPV for a while and this for better or worse is a very saleable fight.
I don't give amir a chance. He's living the soft celebrity life whereas kell didn't gain the fame to do that, so he's probably been in the gym a lot more over the last few years.
I suppose it will be at 147 as it’s no secret that Khan can manage that weight better than Kell. The Sky marketing machine will have to work overtime to sell the PPV but like the majority on this forum I will not be buying. It will be a question of who has the most left and that’s a difficult call as both are pretty shop worn.
Good decision to get it on Sky. They will push this to the casual. I don’t think it does really well given how shot both guys are but will do reasonable numbers. I won’t be buying the PPV personally but hope they both get their retirement cheque.
This fight will be worth watching as it’s a genuine grudge match. Neither wants to lose. In their primes, Brook would have had Khans number. I am not too sure now. As I think Brook has more miles on the clock and that eye isn’t going to hold up.
