No, based upon what he actually did and didn’t do in his own career, I don’t think he would have taken the fight.

If he didn’t have the confidence to fight Winky when everything had been agreed to, and he didn’t have the confidence to fight a prime version of Manny, or Canelo at 154, then it’s illogical to assume that that same guy would have fought Hagler at MW.

It would be as logical as a guy who was afraid of water suddenly deciding that he was going shark diving.
