Today Lopez wasn't as explosive and fast as against Lomachenko and Commey. He did his work - removing Lomachenko from p4p #1, so others can argue now they're #1.Before that, against Nakatani, and we saw after that(today) he wasn't the same.In Australia he won't be better, but Kambosos could be better.Don't know if it's the air or...what, but sometimes at home fighters are much better (first remember is for transformation of Murata losing 109-119 in USA, then win in Japan with 2nd rd KO against Brant).Still it will be interesting to see a rematch in the winner's home, but don't expect it to be different(better) for Lopez.
I could' not believe Lopez got the mike and told everyone he won, even his pro Lopez crowd booed that lie. His face was an accurate scorecard of who won.
Here come all the excuses. GK was getting the better out of almost every exchange, and was landing the right hand at will almost all night. The jab was popping his face too. he also showed a great chin.
Nah arrogance is Lewis fighting in the same timeframe of filming a movie, fighting with hands down and bouncing off the ropes likes he’s fighting a punching bag vs Rahman. Teo was arrogant in the first round but the rest of the fight he did the best he could, we have to give Kambosos credit for fighting the whole fight the way Loma did the last 6 vs Teo.
Lol, stop. Teo is just not that good. Like someone has already pointed out, he was getting pieced up by Nakatani, and he was lucky to get the decision. Lomachenko had one arm and he can’t fight backing up, he can only fight inside, he’s just a very fleet-footed inside fighter. Kambo can actually throw some combo’s from the backfoot, he’s longer and has the orthodox jab which shelled Teo up all night and let him work off his hooks while Teo was in defense mode.
Fimo couldnt finish Kambosos in the 10th....the guy was out on his feet for a full minute and a half. Can he really do better in a rematch? With a solid gameplan, maybe....but can he even make 135 again. He maybe better off going up to 140 and fight Tank up there. Make money on that fight, and if he wins take a crack at the belts.
It was bound to happen. The only surprising thing is how quickly Lopez lost in his very next fight and first title defense. Talk about a quick rise and downfall.
I think it’s probably a case of Lopez not being as good as people thought and Kambosos Jr being better than people thought. From the presser, to the weigh in, through to the fight Kambosos never doubted he had the beating of that kid. It was man against boy once the going got tough in there and the man came out on top.
I think if Lopez had settle down and pick his shot he would have stopped Kambosos. Lopez ego , arrogance , and thinking he is the one punch KO fighter lost him the fight and lost him millions in future earning. He is a hard puncher but he is not this super one punch power he believe himself to be. Easy fight to score. I scored it 8-4 Kambosos.
Yep, partly ego, partly arrogance, but mainly he just isn’t as good as people thought was, Kambosos came to win and he had no answer for it.
Lopez is one of the biggest narcissists in boxing. He acted like he is God’s gift to the boxing world. Kambosos trained hard while Lopez was chasing clout. Not saying Lopez didn’t trained hard for this fight, but his father and him acted like jackasses. They were dismissive of Kambosos and they clearly didn’t think much of him. It’s a kind of pompous attitude they have toward everyone.
