Teófimo Andrés López, Jr. vs. George Kambosos, Jr. & Azinga Fuzile vs. Kenichi Ogawa RBR

Covid disease , re-scheduled camps , a years long lay-off.. But its only Loma who get to have a bad night? Sure.

 

Build-up is build-up. Interviews and behaviour after the fight is what matters to me. And that went 6-0 to Kambosos.

 

I don't buy that.

It was probably Lopez's power, counterpunching style and size that gave Loma problems and he would give him problems in a rematch although I'd favor Lomachenko by UD. Kambosos was moving around all night and rivaled Lopez in size and reach. Lomachenko aint like dat. He can put it on Lopez like he did round 7 or 8 onwards but he will in firing range even with his angles like he was in the 12th

If Loma and Lopez rematched i don't see it being a dominating performance. I see Lopez winning some rounds, more than Campbell, but Lomachenko being the CLEAR winner

Really enjoyable fight and George fully deserved that win

He clearly was more focused and wanted it more

Lopez showed the apple does not fall far from the tree with his silly outburst at the end

Take over got took over

 

Did you watch the fight? Lopez looked massive compared to Kambosos who only looks slightly larger than Lomachenko.

Lomachenko's right shoulder has troubled him for some time. He doesn't throw his right hook like he used to, watch how he fought Crolla.

Lopez landed some bombs on George's chin. He took them and traded blows for blows, tha just isn't Lomachenko's style.

Lomachenko could have taken a round or two in the first half and easily managed a draw.

Kambosos had it worse. He had to repeatedly move from Australia, leaving his family all the while living under a lockdown.

This fight showed that Teofimo Lopez didn't have as many fans as Lomachenko had haters.

I called this the minute I saw teo flying all over america to attend every show known to man

He wasnt preparing right, then joey gamache thrown to the wolves, it reminded me of wilder with breland.

prepare to win or you will fail, teo needs to learn a harsh lesson from this. Yes he got the big knockdown in round 10, yes he showed heart, but he had the ability to win that big if he had prepared right. He didn't and he lost.

 

Hes around Lopez's height and they have a similar reach. Lopez looked more bulky but Lomachenkos dimensions are clearly smaller than both

I've seen that Nakatani fight. The Lomachenko i saw wasn't any different from the Lomachenko in the late rounds against Lopez but thats just me, Nakatani just can't fight on the inside at all so it was a demolition job down the stretch but Lomachenko looked the same

This too sort of, well Lomachenko can obviously trade but he tries to get his own shots of and then slip and/or block.

 

This being said i favor Loma to beat Lopez in a rematch.

 

He is clearly shorter. Wears lifts for public appearances but the gap in height was obvious inside the ring.

Great fight. 114-112 Kambosus Jr. Really pleased for him, worked his arse off.

Poor start from Lopez, sloppy 1st round really cost him. IMO Lopez is better when he works behind his jab. He was just throwing wild punches with no set up in the 1st FFS. Stupid and got dropped.

Big win for DAZN, felt like a big fight and it delivered

 

Just watched a prefight press conference and fake ol' Snr. was mouthing off about how young George was gonna wake up in hospital!
I feel like Snr. has totally screwed up his son's career.
I thought Mikey getting outclassed would be my favorite fight of the year but after listening to Snr, there's no way I look past this.

Great win for Ogawa and Kambosos. Happy for both.

Also I like it how before the fight the biased boxing media was calling Teofimo the undisputed champion, and yet when Kambosos won. He is now the UNIFIED champion. What a bunch of ****ing hypocrites.
