I must admit, I always skip their posts. That says more about me being lazy than the quality of what they actually write though.

 

Be a shame to see him retire now IMO. Waste of good talent. He should come back and try and get a fight with Golovkin which is a fight I would pick him to win now due to Golovkin losing a step or 2 to age. That is assuming he isn't ruined from the Canelo loss and injury.

 

Golovkin most likely will fight vs Murata who is on winning streak and huge draw in Japan.
Also I don't think that Golovkin might be good matchup for him.

He maybe better had picked some opponent who does have low output ( number of punches he is throwing per 1 round ) and ofc prefreably boxers who are not good jabbers.



Knowing about injury and where it was, opponents will do all the best to land exactly there.
This means he will be forced to protect face as never before. Golovkin looks that already had damaged one boxer by jabbing his face.

 

The bit that stood out for me was where Saunders said he wasn't brain dead and unable to put a sentence together.

I'd have to dispute that.

The guy's a disgrace to the sport. I'll be very happy to never see him fight again.

 

Well now we all know that he never broke his eye socket and just got hit really hard and panicked and quit.

I think it is far more likely that he does return, as he doesnt have an injury to contend with which will affect him future fights. With that Kell Brook injury he was never the same again and it cost him in the Spence fight. BJS is fine to continue without such concerns.

I would like to see him take on Eubank Jr in a rematch, I think that would be exciting and a difficult one to call. You would definitely give Eubank Jr a good chance in the rematch.

 

Golovkin would beat Saunders, it's over.

 

Going by Twitter last night it looks like Billy hasn't retired from throwing hands..... without the gloves on anyway lol
