I’ve always favoured brook in the fight in the past but after the Crawford fight and his punch resistance looking gone Khan has been vocal bout being open to finally taking the fight.

but for me a big factor that is being overlooked now with it seeming closer and even I overlooked it is fact Khan hasn’t had a fight since July 2019 so maybe we’re putting to much stock into how brook got stopped against Crawford and not enough stock on how god damn inactive Khan is.

like nearly 3 years out of the ring that’s a crazy amount of time for any fighter to have out of the ring let alone a guy with as bad a defence and chin as Khan.

Finally... stiff back , low right guard standing is made for Khan Kell will have difficulty with Khans straight shooting down the middle.. if Khan still has his legs he got this...

But TBH both are far past their best so much of the old tactical fight is not as clear now... it really comes down to who has more left in them at this late stages of their careers..

Have just seen some interviews on IFL TV and it is interesting that Eddie Hearn / DAZN offered far more money than Boxxer / Sky, but they chose the latter to get the fight out to as many as possible.

Don’t know how true that will be. Hearn said months ago they want far too much money but now apparently he outbid everyone? Can’t see it.

This fight will be huge, yeah it’s past it’s best but it will sell. Casuals all know both guys and the hype will be huge.

I fancy khan in this one, his chin ain’t the best but it’s not as bad as the masses make out. He survived absolute bombs from maidena and Garcia (prior to being sparked).

kell looks old and gaunt these days, surely khan will just pepper him with jabs and try to break his face up early/cut him.

not really a fan of either but will definitely watch the fight. I would like khan to win then beat Benn after.

Take this with a massive pinch of salt (maybe a bucket!) but according to Eddie Hearn when the fight was pitched to him the money they each wanted would have meant this fight doing close to a million PPV buys in order for it to make financial sense for Matchroom, in terms of profit for them.

    Staggering if true.

I personally don't believe that, but I also don't believe they got 'massive' offers from other parts of the world either for this fight. I don't believe for a second they had more lucrative offers from Dubai for e.g. but they chose to have the fight in Manchester 'for the fans'.

Put the close to 3 years out of the ring to one side for a moment in terms of Khan, he hasn't been relevant as a boxer or in a meaningful fight at his weight for many, many years. Kell was never a big name or superstar even as a world champion.

The fight will do okay and I hope Sky/Boxxer are able to cover their costs and make money on it, but the interest in it outside of the UK, or to the casual market I think will be more limited than some people think. I don't think it's going to capture peoples imaginations or have a wide cross over appeal. The press conference was also very subdued all things considered.

    It's 2021 and there's still a Khan fan who's saying he's not chinny LOL

He must have been knocked down over 20 times, been knocked down and knocked out by all levels of fighters, and all levels of power from feather fisted guys to average power to powerful guys they've all had Khan chicken dancing. His glass chin is irrefutable.

He was the worst punch resistance of any fighter of a decent level I've ever seen.

Its a sham. Brooks days of fighting at 147 are long gone. 2 lbs extra wont make a difference at this point...the rehydration clause isnt even needed kell wont be able to go long even if it wasnt in place...just extra insurance for khan. Would love to see it backfiring but theres a reason khans sitting smug at the press conference. Got himself fit...waited till brooks finished and no longer a real threat....and still got rehydration clauses in place etc.

There’s nothing more cringeworthy than boxers arguing about who’s loss was better. Remember Bellew and Cleverly both arguing with each other that they lost to the better fighter in Stevenson and Kovalev respectively?

Crawford must be sitting back pissing himself at the thought of these two multimillionaires desperately using his name to sell another pay per pudding for some retirement loot.

Surprised to see that Bo Mac (Crawford trainer) will be in Khan’s corner. Bo Mac was interviewed during the fight with Khan and was very relaxed and said we know Khan’s hand speed isn’t as fast anymore. Yet here we are , I suppose money talks. Also I noticed Ingle had a little dig at Brook saying that he lost the last fight to Crawford because he chose to train himself. I’m not sure that they have the best relationship but maybe I’m reading wrong

I have 0 interest in this fight but of the two I'd say Brook is more shot, if Khan gets past the 6th round I think he takes it.

Khan never wanted this fight for a decade until he saw how Brooks punch resistance had gone against Crawford. Plus draining him down to 149 and putting in a rehydration clause.

Its now gone from Brook KO win to a 50/50 fight between two inactive, very shot, chinny semi-retired fighters. Car crash comedy TV.. chicken dancing and glass shattering very quickly..

Hopefully its Khan facing yet another embarrassing KO defeat cause hes the reason this fight never happened in their better years. It'd be karma for all his excuses, lies, ducking, and clauses in the contract.

Has brook not had alcohol problems in recent years as well. He looks a bit gone mentally to me atm. Even ingle looks like he knows the writings on the wall. Hoping they can get him into good shape for it...but khans turned up very very confident for a reason imo.

Hes always been wary of brook...who would have beaten him up until the last couple of years. But the big problem is its took brook to become weight drained....lacking interest in boxing...putting on a lot of weight...rehydration clauses...and alcohol problems before khans been willing to face him. Khan finished me off after the last raft of excuses when they we,re busy fighting le greco etc. Even then brook was there for the taking...still held off for him to be totally finished with rehydration clauses etc in place to leave no doubt.
