that ref though. Pulev was a gent and sportsman holding back but that ref was in his own catatonic state and allowed Mir to be clipped again, albeit Pulev didn't go full.

    Wow.

Pulev could have, and im not exaggerating, killed Mir here if he didn't have common decency.

Sigmon was always pretty bad. When he was younger he basically would wear other boxers down with basically letting them beat on him.
But he needs it to be at least a ten rounder for that to work.
He mostly fought tomato cans around the Virginia area although he has 2/3 good wins.
He self promoted himself to get the Jones fight and to be honest Scott couldn't ever punch a lick so he was a safe opponent for Jones.
Vera honestly shouldn't be fighting. He took FAR too much punishment in his pro career. That was an absolute disgrace to even allow him in that competition. I know for a fact he didn't pass in serious medical tests to get in there.

Micheal Seals took the fight on a week's notice also with Mike Perry. It doesn't mean a whole lot but still. The different dynamic of the ring and gloves may have flustered him a bit even though he knocked Perry down.

I guess Ryan Kavanagh is gonna milk this dry with his friends money to keep funding these events through Triller. He's supposedly been involved in a ponzi scheme so who knows how he's funding these events with the agencies working with Metallica,...etc...

I noticed Mitrionne also lost but i didn't see that fight.

Briggs vs Rampage might be next.

If you are almost forty years old there is NOT a possibility of you taking a fight on a weeks notice and winning.

I'm pretty sure this isn't true. But can't think of many examples off the top of my head.

Your almost forty years old taking a fight in A NEW COMBAT SPORT with a different ring set up,different gloves and different rules?????

Not to mention this boxer was ACTIVE having fought 2 months PRIOR.
Seals fought when last? YEARS AGO.

Make up your mind lol. This isn't even really a new sport, it's basically just boxing with weird rules attached to it. Perry sucks even at MMA, so Seals losing is kind of a shock.. Seals fought and WON 3 months ago. He should won this regardless of how of late notice it was.

Lol exactly. Seals is 25-3, a decent puncher and had a 4 inch height and 9 inch reach advantage. Yes hes a lot older than Perry but still in his 30s and an active competitor who was in the ring with top 5 ranked Eleider Alvarez last year.

Whats funny is all the fights where the boxers didnt look good being dismissed and excused, but when Pulev dominates in the most obvious mismatch of the night all of a sudden thats apparently a legit win, the only one that counts and the one that is actually representative of what boxers can do.

When it goes it goes especially when you get older.
The older you get the harder it is to get your body in shape. It takes soooo much longer just to get in decent shape.
These match ups were dumb. I've seen Sigmon fight in person. He only ever had success through basically out lasting his opponents. That's pretty v much it.
The longer the fight goes the better Scott has at a chance of winning. He really was in superb condition when he was younger. And he had a rock like chin.
But he was deviod of talent.
Problem with his style? Sooner or latter the punishment you take is going to end your career.
Scott has been shot for YEARS.
My mistake on Seals. I got him confused with another boxer. But still. Looking at his record his record looks great on paper until you really look at it.
MMA will always have an advantage over boxers if matched straight up. Punches, kicks, elbows, knees, ground games they have many weapons to attack with.
Boxers only have hands. That's it.
But punch for punch of course boxers are going to hit harder - why wouldn't they? They don't have to train on kicks, elbows, knees, etc. Punching is all they do.
If someone in MMA just focused on punches and punches only they are going to have a very short unsuccessful career.
Frank Mir was a great fighter at one point in his career. He should have never accepted that fight and it was sad to see him end up like that. I'm just glad he didn't get seriously hurt.
Sigmon shouldn't fight anymore in anything. If you ever saw him fight live you wouldn't believe the punishment he would take. It was almost sick.

Actually I've changed by mind about this event. The purpose was revenge for the Paul brothers beating up MMA fighters in boxing matches.

The MMA leaders got together and realized they needed to humiliate boxing in the public eye since MMA was seen as a joke for losing to Disney teen actors.

This event was a set up. They purposely got bummy, drunk, nearly retirement level boxers and put them in the ring with more capable mma fighters. The matchups were carefully selected to ensure the MMA fighters won, except in the main event between Pulev and Mir.

We know the scam you the MMA leaders are pulling
