Usyk started fast but that cost him in rounds 5-8 where he was caught a lot more and Usyk himself said he was dazed. He cannot keep up that pace for 12 rounds. I never said he couldn't fight for 12-15, but he will fight many of those rounds slower and more conservative. And how is it wrong to compare the calibre of opponents? How can you compare Usyk's opponents to Ali's? Usyk toughest opponent has arguably been AJ who was set up all wrong by his corner and is potentially gone mentally. AJ is not on the same level as Ali's greatest opponents. We shouldn't count Ali's losses towards the end of the career becasue it would be like counting Tyson's losses against Lewis and McBride etc. Ali took some insane punches against the likes of Foreman, and I don't think Usyk would be able to take that sort of beating. Ali is also the only man ever to knock foreman out.
Fair enough I guess, but the way Bellew fought is completely comparable to how Ali could have fought, except Ali wouldn't gas out, and be a much greater KO threat. The point is, if Bellew had a greater gas tank, he could have UD'd Usyk, but he gassed and Usyk hurt a gassed Bellew. Bellew was winning the fight by at least 2 rounds at the point of KO.
@Vegan Beast Usyk could have easily fought like Doug Jones, but with greater speed, height, reach and smarts. Jones lost by just one point.
I believe prime Ali was better, but Usyk is excellent and if Ali was having a bad night, I could see Usyk somehow getting the nod. On the other hand, if Usyk was having a bad night, I could see Ali beating him to a pulp.
You are entitled to your opinion but prime Ali had some real snap to his punches and could definitely hurt fighters with an accumulation of punches.
Bad argument those loses are by KO, technically speaking a cave man or a random big guy could have the power to KO Lewis or Klitschko with a punch. Mercer got SCHOOLED by a old fat Holmes LOL. Holmes at that stage was a superior boxer let alone a prime Holmes You dont actually box do you.... Spinks beats Holmes, looses to Tyson, Tyson beats both, Moorer beats Holyfield, looses to old fat Foreman, Holyfield beats Tyson
Look whatever you have to say i know theres no point it trying to convince you so I'll just end it here But we do have one thing in common. We think Lewis is the H2H GOAT
most dangerous, but not toughest. No, because of Usyks great defence. He don't get hit like Ali was. This content is protected I don't. I am saying that Usyk has a good chance to beat Ali based on style, comparing opponents from different era is not something that will work in this situation.
