Amir Khan vs Kell Brook Officially announced Monday

In many ways though you could say well played Khan, he strung everyone along, made some decent coin, did a few other things with his life outside of boxing and has now just cruised back in for a big payday while Brook has just spent the whole time obsessed with this fight.

We understand that unfortunately boxings filled with unfair advantages for the a side. Its not great but thats the reality of boxing....an argument could be made that the a side have earned that right weather they became the a side through their ability or sometimes even just the ability to sell themselves well etc.

But lets call a spade a spade....hes almost left it till theres absolutely no risk till making the fight. Floyd done similar with pacman but at least pacman was just sliding enough as opposed to being totally unable to fight at the weight etc. Brook looks mentally gone as well...you know its bad when khans actually making him look stupid atm. Win, lose or draw for brook the reality is khans hid from him for years. Only took him on when he looks absolutely gone....absolutely no credit to be had for winning that fight at this point.

 

I also think it sounds strange. In any case, it is a huge loss of prestige for Eddie Hearn / Matchroom that they are not the ones making this fight.

Let's be honest, it'll do huge numbers on sky.

I saw Kells dad talking on ifl last night and he was saying they didn't want the fight to get "lost" on another platform.

I have to admit, he's not wrong. People just don't want any inconvenience in life, hence the term "convenience food"

It's awkward to watch streaming services, there's an effort involved in getting them, watching them etc..... Your average sports fan won't do this.

 

Looking at the condition of them both, you could almost say it’s a case of who’s less 5hit as to who the winners gonna be.

Both badly out of shape and given the fact Brook always struggled at 147 when he was active that poses a huge problem. However I also think if Khan thought he could make the weight now he would have insisted it was at 147.

Brook is gonna feel emaciated even at 149 though.

 

The fact they were arguing who's loss to Crawford was worse says it all.

He's been back in the gym for the last 2 months. My best mate has seen him train. He said to me about 6 weeks ago that Kell told him he was weighing 170/175ish. He'll make the 149 catch weight easily. Even with a 10lb rehydration clause, Kell is still gonna be healthy in there and take the poppadom chins head clean off

What little interest I had in the fight disaapereard with that news. Brook will be dead at the weight.

 

Spot on about streaming services. People either just want to press a red button or go down the pub, they don't wanna be messing about signing up to subscription services and downloading apps or watching on tablets/smart phones.

 

Khan should just let Brook come in at whatever weight he wants.
If he doesn't want to live the life and wants a thirty pound advantage on the night what's that got to do with Khan?!

 

If I am Brook I come in a few pounds over rather than starve myself for a non title fight

then what the **** is Khan going to bottle the fight with all that money on the line.
