    My thoughts exactly

However no doubt Khan has a clause that a % of Brook's percentage then gets revoked if he does so...

Still think its gonna be a bridge too far the weight cut...he,ll probably get there but will he be able to fight there is another question. He fought at 148 back in 2004. Thats 18 years ago. In that time hes had a lengthy lay off...plus went up to 160 to fight. I dont think he has any sort of durability at that weight anymore...like he once did against say porter.

Luckily hes quite hard to pin down and khans not really a big hitter...but its still a severe disadvantage. Think khan started at around 130 lbs. He,ll be tightish at the weight himself but from his early beginnings hes had a 19 lb play. Whereas brook will still be fighting at the same weight at his mid 30,s that he did at 20. Its a big ask for me especially how hard it was getting down to the weight for spence. Since then we,ve had lay offs...no trainer and alcohol problems. Even if that fight was 155 lbs it would be advantage khan i,d probably say.

Khan did go in with an opponent probably a stone and a half heavier than him on the night before so I think he'd be alright against Brook not making weight.

Think they we,re saying at the press conference the fine was substantial for being any weight over the rehydration clause limit. Would love to know the figure...knowing khan it will be a ridiculous amount.

It is between 100-200k per Ib over from personal purse and also, some penalties maybe PPV money or something, which was not discussed

Don't know which contract you've been reading pal?

The contract states precisely a fine of £295,000 per lb over 149lb on the scales, as well as an additional fine of £89,000 per lb over the 159lb check weigh in on the morning of the fight.

They're both agreeing to and getting paid a crazy amount of money to make this weight, my housemate does 39 hours a week stacking shelves in Morrison's, £9.50 an hour, they could always do that instead if getting to a certain weight when you literally have nothing else on in your life is too difficult.

Again, well played Khan, he's worked himself into a position where he holds pretty much all the cards.

World class trolling! Surprised he held a straight face for as long as he did.

It sounds like we'll have to settle for more showdowns between Khan and Brook. If the first fight is okay / fair, then a return fight awaits.

Hearn said Brooks dad was at the DAZN launch party and told him what the sky offer was and asked DAZN to match it and Hearn refused. He said khan's solicitor also told him what sky were paying.

Brook is going to have to be a very good boy over Christmas as he looked huge yesterday and can't afford to put anything else on.

In my local coop today in rural Staffordshire.

Geezer excitedly on the phone to a mate about getting a mini bus up there to watch Brook vs Khan.

One suspects he has absolutely no idea about boxing but he was buzzing about this fight.

Sadly **** sells at the moment. This will do big numbers

I'd rather pay for these than what Eddie is serving up lately.

It will be a huge event that will capture many "ordinary people" and therefore it will be a really good business for both the boxers and Sky.
