Teo Barely beat Loma who had an arm injury and his last performance was very underwhelming. And on most p4p list ESPN for example he was top 6-4ish. so how were people ranking him so high?

Yeah, he is average and got Loma when he was not 100 percent.

Tough to say at this point. His run up to Loma was fairly impressive. His win over Loma shocked many, but the way Loma looked in his next fight gave a lot of credit to his injury claim. I think Teo has been able to mask a lack of certain fundamentals with his natural attributes, and the mask is starting to come off.

It's beginning to look like the brutal sparring wars his dad had him in at 14-18 may have cracked his chin.

His father is obviously a bad influence on him.

Obviously, people knew that before and after the Loma fight (well the ones with half a brain at least).

He's just the standard weight bully America loves to churn out that beats on mostly smaller guys. He was fighting a one armed 130lber Loma and got a gift. Imagine what the guys at 140-147lbs would do to him (yknow guys closer to his size) . Its actually hilarious he'd get utterly spanked

Well, he did beat Loma who was ranked very highly. That isn't worth anything? Sucks about the arm injury, but that's the sport.

Forgot to mention how he’s a weight bully and still nearly lost to injured Loma and lost to kambosos.

I'd say average boxing skill but elite power. With that power though he can go very far. He can crack and that makes the other respects his power. He needs to mix his punches up instead of looking for the KO like he did with Loma. Go for the kill after softening wearing out his opponent. That is the approach he should take but Lopez thinks he is boxing god with one punch KO power. So expect more of the same from him as his opponent steps back and lets him swing for the fence all 12 rnds.

Just like we found out Loma had a lot more in him after his second loss, we won't know much until Teo's next fight.

I actually thought his punch resistance looked better than it did against Loma, still his biggest problem IMO. I think he's still got some of his youthful chinniness and it will get better later on.

Teo is still 4-6 years younger than most fighters (including Kambosos) are when they step up. This is why the others wait so long.

A guy who goes through Nakatani, Commey, Loma, and Kambosos and comes out 3-1 deserves a fairly high rating even if the #5 P4P placement was very excessive.

After the Loma fight, Teo was definitely overrated especially on this forum. Crazy talk about being an ATG and PFP champ after beating a one armed opponent. He’s a very athletic, hard punching guy who has impressive skills and is only 24. IMO, he’s considerably better than any of the guys his age at LW.

So, I think he was overrated but still very good before the Kambosos fight but is underrated now (a bit unfairly) afterwards. If they fought again, he’d probably be the betting favorite. I hope George doesn’t give him a rematch. Give this punk a taste of his own medicine.

As much as I want to see George fight Loma, I hope he fights Haney next because he has a better chance of beating Haney. Also, it’s hard to not root for George. He’s a likable guy and has an exciting style. I hope he has great success in his career.

To call Teofimo overrated is to call Loma overrated.

i would imagine the answer is NO to both being overrated.

I’d say he severely underrated Kambosos
(like most) treated him like a Mandatory Bum & tried to Rush him like one. . . Poor decision.

Loma or his team never said the arm was an issue in the Teo fight. The fans made that assumption after a pic was posted of his surgically repaired shoulder. Until Loma says the arm was an issue, it wasn't!

Little factoid.... judging from social media and other message boards, seems few people actually understand the definition of 'overrated'. 99% of the time, it's used to just show who one doesn't like.

He looked good against a much smaller, badly injured Lomachenko but would lose a rematch.

I am sure he can contest against bigger opponents but he will never be a dominant JWW/WW.
